What about

House of Wisdom Baghdad

Maybe Ruins of Babylon or Ishtar Gate

Cologne Cathedral could be a buildable monument to construct ahead of time, kinda like the canals
tbh Versailles should as well start as just a hunting lodge and be tied to French mission tree maybe, but not be completed in 14444

Is Hadrian's Wall in the game?

Great Wall of China, no idea how to model that tho

Terracotta Army

Colosseum and Circus Maximus for Rome?

If Mt. Fuji-san is considered a monument then what about

Grand Canyon

Mt. Vesuvius

Mt. YellowStone

Great Barrier Reef

Niagara Falls

Mariana's Trench +50% diving depth for Submarines....ok I m just kidding

In reality, the Mt Fuji Monument does not represent the mountain itself, but the whole temple and shrine system and its position as a sacred place for Shintoism.

Kaaba and Jerusalem are already in the game already as modifiers, are they not? Why do they need to be added twice, or will this replace those modifiers?

What about other places like Alexandria for Coptics?

If those were chosen, then we would add the monuments for players with Leviathan DLC, and keep the modifiers for the rest of the players, as we recently did with monuments such as Versailles or Forbidden City, which are still decisions for players not owning Leviathan.

Well, those are actually a bunch of suggestions, but for now we want to cast the vote among those 12 in the list posted by Johan. We already gathered a lot of feedback from Monuments Megathead (and others), and Content Design Team have already discussed that these 12 would be the more interesting additions, from historical, artistic and game balance points of view.

Just for a better geographical spread, my TOP3 would be:

Holy City of Jerusalem (important for both Muslims and Christians, not like the Kaaba)
Malbork Castle
Great Mosque of Djenne
