you are right adjusting the game to accurately reflected the economies of countries is one of the hardest parts of modding the game. As regards resources I used weighted averages of different resources. In the case of metal I used iron ore, pig iron and steel production. This is in my opinion the only way to account for countries that were rich in iron ore such as Sweden or Luxemburg, but also accounts for countries that had a large and advanced steel industry, but wit little own resources like Germany. Ultimately it was a mixture of these two things that determined armaments production potential. As regards rares I used an average of several rare materials weighted by their importance like rubber, aluminium, molybdenum, etc. All the numbers were taken from the League of Nations abstracts.

As regards GDP, you are again right that in G-K dollar terms China and England had roughly the same GDP at the time, however by making use of AoDs infrastructure feature, as well tweaking withe the National Ideas, I can adjust available IC such that it reflects actual armaments spending.

Gosh. That's difficult to say. A playable first version could be finished within the next 6 month. I am almost done with anything map related, the techtree is 2/3 finished. Once that is done models and unit pricing is on the table, the scenario setup will have to be done and I'll have to adapt AI and events to the new map, which will essentially mean a lot of copy and paste. So it all depends on how much time I'll find and if maybe someone is willing to help with some of the steps.

But I can wait longer if you would end the timespan at 1991. The time where the cold war ends. would make sense.

Thanks for the offer to help. Once I get to that stage I'll ask for volunteers. Not sure about 1991. Since technological progress is happening ever more rapdily I'am not sure I could fit this into the techscreen without completely changing the entire setup. Besides adding all the additional ministers and leaders is an insane amount of work. Sorry about that.

Sure it is. It just takes time and I don't have too much of it. I am currently still working on reworking resources to the new map. Thanks for the offer to help. Once I am done with this stage I can use some help. Right now I can really only do it myself. I'll let you know.

Thank you very much for your kind offer of help. Unfortunately I have nothing to do for you at the moment, because I am in the process of reworking the E3 Map with Novapaddy. The old version just made the game slow down to a crawl. But once I need some Notepad skills, I'll let you know.
