Just got a new laptop the other day (the 2020 i7 HP Omen) but, for some reason, vanilla EU4 will just not run on this thing. I've tried other games, including CK2, and they all run like butter but EU4 keeps crashing after I click play on the launcher but it has also crashed after I've launched the game from the exe. I've done 3 clean reinstalls of EU4, 2 clean reinstalls of Steam, run/not run as admin, change to borderless/windowed, change the resolution to 640x480, updated/deleted graphics driver, deleting the paradox launcher and many combinations of these with no luck. Basically, if done in borderless/windowed bc fullscreen doesn't even come up, it launches and I see the "Europa Universalis IV" title screen for about 3 seconds and then it crashes, I get the crash pop-up (which is quite blurry btw don't know if that means anything) but I still hear music and the app says it's running which is odd. I'm at my wit's end and have 400 hrs+ in the game on my old laptop so I'd really hate to lose this. Any advice? Please help lol.
