New Kingdom modded in, however on title creation page the kingdom is k_barcelona

Hi all,

Pretty much as the title says, I wanted to create the Kingdom of Barcelona, so I wouldn't have to usurp the Kingdom of Aragon and thus lost my name of Barcelona, or my awesome grey colour.

After some false starts at the altering of the landed_titles file, I've managed to copy all the information from Aragon's again, but rename it and change the primary colour. It finally loads up a save properly, instead of giving me instant gameover, but when I click the "create a title" button, the potential kingdoms name is "Kingdom of k_barcelona" rather than the correct "Kingdom of Barcelona".

Why would this be? There's no spacing or other errors in the script, so why isn't the kingdom the correct name?

What you should do is add an entry like this:

k_barcelona;Barcelona;;;;;;;;;;;;;x

in one of the localisation .csv files.

Okay, but... where? There are 6 files in the locaslisation folder, and each of the folders are Microsoft Excell files? So... where do I put it?

I assume it tells the game to call it the correct name?

Use the one called: Text1.csv, it has all the other title to.

I would suggest making a separate localisation file. Essentially create a .txt file with the "k_barcelona;Barcelona;;;;;;;;;;;;;x" and an empty line (very important). You then edit the extension of the .txt file to be a .csv file. Very simply and easy to do.

The finesse of making your own localization file compared to using the existing ones is that you can merge your mods with other mods you find more easily and you do not have to work every time a patch comes out.

Or better yet, make your own .csv (name it whatever you feel like) so that it won't be overridden by patches or other mod.

It is preferable to open the game's csv files with Wordpad or something such rather than excel, so as to readily verify that you are keeping all the semi-clons where they should be. Then when you save make sure the file extension is .csv, not .txt or such,

I did what you guys said, and it all works now! The Kingdom of Barcelona exists! And with the proper adjectives as well, with the right colour. Thanks, guys!

If you got a different system just search for it on google. When the extensions are visible you can just change the .csv to .txt.
