I have done a new campaign with Japan, Collie v1.10.8.
I have finally managed to defeat China and beyond. Here main approach:
- Japan industry is pathetic, civilian industry used to improved civilian industries; it will be used also for importing resources;
- Japan military situation is pathetic, with a lot of missing equipment and weapons; I have built few divisions, I have concetrated the pathetic industrial effort on building missing equipments/weapons;
- The starting templates are pathetic, I used the points available as soon as possible to improve the divisions, but without too many results;
- No conflict with the United States, absurd to disperse on several fronts;
- The beginning of the conflict with China was resolved by a stroke of luck, the Chinese reorganized the troops and opened a gap that I was able to exploit for a better positioning. After that it was a long war.
- I don't know why, but the Soviets sent hundreds of planes to help China.
- No use of plans and other automatisms. They only served to make me lose.
- Once the absurd limit of the Marco Polo Bridge incident was removed, I was able to move forward. At that point the only real obstacle was the logistics. I spent most of the industrial points on improving the roads.
