I just wrapped up the "Finnish Him" achievement on 1.10.2, and had a blast doing it. For those that don't know, Paradox simplified the achievement in the latest patch. Now, all you need is Moscow and war score of 15%+ when the USSR capitulates:

Basically, you dig in on a few key provinces, leveraging the defensive advantages of Finland's terrain, and wait for the USSR to bash it's head against your lines. It's a little nail-biting for the first few months, but after that it's fun watching the USSR lose millions of troops trying to take you down. I grabbed the Dutch East Indies to use as a manpower sponge, but I bet you could get this achievement even without that cheese.
Here is how my lines looked from Jan 1940 through Dec 1941 (Germany was 6 months late kicking off Barbarossa for some reason).
By the time Barbarossa started in Dec 1941, the Soviets had traded 4.5 mil men for 60k Finnish casualties. Once the Germans declared war, the Finns were able to race through the battered Soviet lines to take Moscow in less than 6 months. The achievement fired for me as soon as the peace conference completed.
