Hi im new to paradox games but some might have seen me hang around on the HOI forum.

I was wondering what i should choose to start from vae victis or the original? and second,how can you change your assassin you send? Because ive been trying for bout 10min now trying to change cicero. Because i dont see him killing anyone anytime soon . are there any good mods out there too ?

I would suggest starting with Vae Victus, it really improves the original.

I think the mod i would say is the best ATM is Epigoni, Imperium was great too, but was abandoned just when it was most ambitous leaving a rather unfinsihed and unbalanced product sadly.

To change character sent on diplomatic missions you will have to click the diplomacy button in the bottom or top row (there are two and any one of them would do), then when selecting the country you want to send someone to you should be able to change the envoy. Remember for assassinations and other nasty stuff you need someone with high finesse, for basic diplomatic offers you need someone with high charisma (the automatically selected envoy will usually do, since he should have the highest charisma, though note that there are traits that affect how good they are at diplomacy as well as intrigue).

With mods, as Duke of Bavaria said Epigoni is a very good one. There is also Magna Terra, Reign of the Ancients and well my mod that might merit a try. Have played those four and find them all good in different ways.
