Hey all -

I just got into this game and I want to follow the newbie guide to Brazil, but I don't see how to select Brazil as an option. There are only a handful of choices and none are Brazil. Please tell me what I'm missing.

Btw, I'm playing the Victoria-Complete version off of Gamersgate, which includes Revolutions.

Thanks.

Ah, thanks. And for the link.

Another question I have is when I'm given a pop up box to choose between two war theories (for example), when I move my cursor over an option it should tell me the effects, but it doesn't. All I see it a small text box without any text. Is that a known issue and is there a fix?

I think you're referring to Jominian and Clauswitzian theories. In this case it unfortunately does not tell you the effects in the event. IIRC it will tell you the effects in the events following your choice. I believe the difference is that Jominian theory gives a +20? morale boost, making your troops less likely to break and retreat in battle, while Clauswitzian increases Organisation which I *think* has an effect on the overall performance of the unit and allows morale to recover faster after battles.
