I created a shield also, but I suppose we could use the current shield (look at the coat of arms the Eagle is "holding").

the difference is that "polish" flag has an eagle in the middle, while the russian has the moscovy shield on it. Btw, that shield was used on polish coins hit in warsaw till 1832. (i wouldn`t be si sure about the colour btw)
I hope you have thought about shield for Poland for the period 1807-1815 (the saxo-polish one)

Confederate States flag

Excuse me, but the flag you have for the Confederate States is a battle flag, not a national flag. The first official national flag (and my personal favourite) is this:

Also here a version with more stars that were added as the Confederacy gained members:

There were two others that were changed because of the war, but if you want to be purists and assume no predetermined outcome, I'd recommend one of these.

This is the Great Seal (coat of arms) of the Confederate States:

I'd also love to see these as graphics for the game, if someone gets a chance.
