Made this map and put it on the front page, so maybe it will help a bit. :)

So Delex is taking Com.China? Good, now having the northern front encircled for your response and lulz is worth losing over 40 divs :D
But beware after you defeat the Japanese. The commies might suddenly turn against you! :p

Y Ive seen this, just cant believe that Japs encircled so many divs.
Well, maybe a good thing actually. Just before the war Juspe got some dissent from the lack of supplies and was so stuck there anyway. Without that encirclement he wouldn't have gotten over the yellow river for sure. :D

Room for one more?

I could take Finland or Canada if you guys need me to, if not ill go cry in a corner and read the AAR
Right... We are getting quite full, but I think that 12 would make a nice player limit... unlike the current 11. :D

So you can still hop in, provided that the game still runs smoothly during the next session with 2-3 more players. ;) ...After this 12 will be the limit, so other players will get in a queue, if some spots might free up.

So currently Finland (and Canada are free, unless hatuke gets pwned). The thing with Finland is that I might go with bring socialism, so you will have a bit different game. But a human Finland will bring a nice challenge to the winter war and you can always switch to (Canada) or smt else after that, if you don't want to be a Soviet puppet. :D

I'll add you to the player list and also make a new queue list for the future players. So just choose your country and if you could give me your msn and tell me your nationality, so I can fill the timezone and other stuff. ;)

Depends on secco and can he get his connection working. We will solve that issue before the next game, so you will be notified by then. ;)

Another little game today. Hosted and re-hosted like three times.

Me and Gregory and, for a brief time, a stranger called Sarge Bakkus against Teemu (for the first half of the game), Juspedude and Storm (for the second half of the game) (screw your infra bombing, storm :p ).

0x3-01-Start.jpg

So here we start. We have an u-boot flotilla and we'll rock the Soviet Union with that. Screw panzers and that stuff, the Kriegsmarine will win the war for us. I command the northern front, while Gregory takes the south.

0x3-02-2.jpg

103 divisions under my command. Gotta make 'em count.

0x3-03-2-South.jpg

Initial advances are pretty easy, although it is not easy to catch Soviet retreating units, so the Soviets aren't really losing much so far.

0x3-03-Move.jpg

Initial movements are coming up quite nicely, as we spent some time planning them in-depth beforehand. I am focusing on the North rather than rushing in the middle.

0x3-04-Encircle.jpg

Yes, our first encirclement happens ten days after the outbreak of war, and it consists of only two divisions. Hey, better than nothing.

0x3-05-Encircle.jpg

And so in July the Baltics fall, but the Soviets managed to evacuate a big chunk of their army. Shaposhnikov and his four divisions, however, couldn't.

0x3-05-2-Forward.jpg

Everywhere the Wehrmacht is on full swing, and we're to the outskirts of Smolensk. Still, the might of the Red Army is left almost intact.

0x3-06-Overall.jpg

Twenty days into the war, this is the situation. Heeresgruppe Nord is the one which advanced the most, while the southern front lacks potential to overpower the Soviets.

0x3-07-South.jpg

... or is it? Gregory is up to something serious.

0x3-08-Advance.jpg

After a two-weeks long lull, Heeresgruppe Süd is brought back to life. Still, the Soviets can just cede territory without being hurt. A Phyrric victory?

0x3-09-Korosten.jpg

Another small encirclement takes place in Korosten. Four more divisions get encircled, so we're now at ten Soviet divisions captured. A misery.

0x3-11-KievEncircle.jpg

Finally the master plan is unrevealed. Much like in real life, Kiev is being encircled, and the Soviets seem to be duplicating the same mistake made by their historical counterparts.

0x3-12-Win.jpg

... they do. Only three Soviet armored divisions managed to escape the onslaught. Thirty Soviet divisions fell under the grasp of the Wehrmacht, severely weakening the Soviet southern frontline.

0x3-13-Taunt.jpg

Second re-hosting. An unknown player sneaks in and there is a little of entertainment. Yes, I am from Tannu Tuva and Gregory is actually a Tibetan monk llama.

0x3-14-Storm.jpg

After a half-hour break, Storm joins in as Teemu could not continue. It is the end of the world for the Axis, as Gregory repeatedly insults Storm's deadly Logistical strikes. I, on the other side, blame the Finns for everything bad in this world.

0x3-15-Leningrad.jpg

I use his same strategy though, and I try to slow down the Soviets as possible. I'm trying to encircle Leningrad and I don't have numerical superiority. Finally, albeit in a precarious situation, Heeresgruppe Nord manages to take Leningrad and destroy his 13-divisions strong garrison. We're now up to 53 divisions captured, but Storm continues to harass me in and around Smolensk, and Gregory in and out Melitopol.

0x3-17-Finland.jpg

Despite the capture of Leningrad, we didn't achieve that final decisive push against the Soviet Union. Moscow has never been threatened and the Soviet response, especially in September, managed to harass the Axis' advance too efficiently to hope in a quick advance. I blame the Finns for sitting idle and not helping: yes, they are at peace with the Soviet Union.

0x3-16-RedNavy.jpg

As a last little triumph, the Kriegsmarine smashes the Red Navy sailing from Leningrad. Once the Red surface fleet got destroyed, however, the Baltic Fleet got mauled by SOVIET SUBS! Sounds so much Red Alert 2. Where are my giant squids?

Nothing happened since then. The only feasible way to win a marginal victory, without capturing Moscow, was capturing Murmansk in Finland and Sevastopol in the Crimea, while keeping all the VPs - our most threatened VPs were Smolensk and Kiev. An almost impossible thing to do before October. So, at the end, the commies could claim a Soviet Marginal Victory. Screw 'em.
