Hate to be the one to break it to you Kosta's, well acctually no I don't :D . But most of the worlds languages and ways of life are derived from Latin,

I find it interesting that someone with a quote from Lau Tzu in his signature could say something so preposterous. I am not going to get out a calculator but it can't be more that 1/4 of the worlds people speak languages derived from Latin, when in fact the great majority of the worlds peoples do not, when one includes Slavic, Arabic, Hindi, and not to mention the Chinese and other Asian languages. It seems that you don't even know enough to realize that English, your own native tongue, is not a Latin language but a Germanic language in its grammatical form, and influenced by Latin, so that it includes Latin words.

The living Latin Language group (also known as the Romance Language) comprise primarily French, Spanish (incl. Catalan) and Italian. And that is about it.

Oh. Wait I forgot, most African peoples do not speak Latin based languages.

The complete inaccuracy of your opening statement brings into grave doubt the accuracy of everything that followed.

Kosta's I live and breath history every day of my life. I've been studying it since I was old enough to read and I'm 24 now, so I've been studying history for quite awhile. I think you need to step outside that Nationalistic box you live in and look at some better historical sources other then Plato and Aristotle. Because all they really wrote was a bunch of Ancient Greek Nationalistic Propaganda  SE.

Of course and the Portuguese too. But there is no way that Latin languages make up most of the world language, let alone culture, at best just going on feeling they represent about 1/4 of the worlds language groups.

Yes you are correct Cueball. My language is most likely derived from Germanic as you state, but as you also stated it has been and I would dare say heavily influenced by latin. Let's also take into consideration that 'my' language is also the most dominatly spoken language in the world. Languages such as Chinese are still about and most likely still in they're original native form because unlike the Greeks they have never been conquered. But then China is an interesting example. They are the same nation, same people and yet they use 2 types of languages, Cantonese and Mandarin. SE.

I am not a nationalist.

I am a bit left, a bit libertarian and much humanitarian. ;)

I rejected with passion many nationalist ideas, i still do. But as years passed, i realised that i got a much clearer sight of history and the world. History is about comprehenting the world around us and the people.
I hope you continue studying history, not the one describing how glorious was the victor, but history which will make you change the way you see the world.

Is not "most likey." "Is." It is recognized by any linguist in the world as a Germanic Language, as all linguists use grammatical structure, not word types as the primary signifier in terms of classifying language type.

You are in fact a Kraut. lol.

Kosta's. I think the sadest thing I have come to learn about the world is that all the nations and people today are like the ancient city states of Greece. Sqaubbleing and bickering over one anothers scraps. As you mentioned my sig a few posts back Cueball this is in particular for you. 'All wars are civil wars, because all men are brothers'. As for China, I am not entirely sure that its existance as a unified "nation" (as we define nationhood today) comprising all of its constituent parts, as a single nation with a history and common people and language extending 5000 years into the past, is actually nothing more than Maoist communist propoganda, but that is more of a theoretical abstract historical debate.

Interestingly, the four main Kingdoms of what is mainland China today did not become unified as a sinlge adminstrative politcal unit, until the Mongols made them so.

All yellow seem same.

An airplane takes off from the airport.
The Captain is Jewish and the First Officer is Chinese.
It's the first time they've flown together and it's obvious, by the silence, that they don't get along.

After thirty minutes, the Jewish Captain mutters:
"I don't like Chinese."

The First Officer replies:
"Oooooh, no like Chinese? Why dat?"

- "Your people bombed Pearl Harbor. That's why I don't like Chinese."
- "Nooooo, noooo, Chinese not bomb Peahl Hahbah. That Japanese, not Chinese."
- "Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese... it doesn't matter, you're all alike."

Another thirty minutes of silence.
Finally, the First Officer says:
"No like Jew."

- "Why not? Why don't you like Jews?"
- "Jews sink Titanic."
- "The Jews didn't sink the Titanic. It was an iceberg."
- "Iceberg, Goldberg, Rosenberg, Spielberg; no mattah ... all da same."

For once more Stalins Elite proved he knows nothing and he continues insult us and say inaccurate facts.Yes i can understand why he does that(it hurts to get almost annexed by a bunch of clowns),but mate you are 24 years old at least react like a grown up person.Play your pathetic games and dont interfere in our posts as we dont interfere in yours. We dont expect from you to be objective (especially if we have different opinion).
As for history you really dont know anything about balkan history(I doubt you know anything except ww2).I repeat that Macedons were 1 greek tribal like Athenians,Spartans,Corinthians etc. They belonged in Dorian race(1 of 3 greek races that came in balkans till 1125 BC).There were small cities-states(example athens, corinth etc) in greek mainland in that era.On the contrary Macedonia (which means big land in ancient greek->makan=mountainous,big / Dokos=land ) had a monarchy and included the areas of modern northern greece ,area of skopje ,part of modern albania and bulgary. In a spread of wars that started ,father of alexander,Phillipos(which means friend of horse in ancient greek-->Filos=friend,Ippos=horse),Macedons conquered rest greek cities in greek mainland. Then Alexander formed an alliance of all greeks(except spartans),and started the invasion of persia.Well its obvious that he spread greek culture in east because he didnt only feel greek,he was greek!!(what is more obvious?)
Its really ridiculous to learn history by paradox forum topic Stalins Elite but it doesnt surprise me ,cause u proved many times in past your ignorance in many things.
Our slavic friends on the other hand can claim what they want/internet its a free world. But please dont underestimate our iq and spread all the fairy tales about fantastic ancestors they wanted to have (we even read about alexander the barbarian or that in rozetta column there is a 4rth language -macedonian??? / really ridiculous).Open a book at least (i repeat any other except slavic or greek official books-->they both includes inaccurate facts),and then speak about some specific historical issues.I tottaly agree with Cueball that in balkans losers wrote history.

PS:i didnt like too that silly video about greek heroism in WW2(i believe its nationalist propaganda) / except from the part when Hitler speaks about Greeks(its true afterall that the first allied army that won axis from war in poland was greek army/imo doesnt really mean anything).
