I'd love to see more low density traditional buildings. Maybe some
cottages,
half timber houses, low density rowhouses and what has bothered me the most:
Why are all the high level houses ugly concrete/glass monstrosities!?
I don't get it. They are ugly enough in real life, why do they pollute my beautiful cities with their malformed monotonous presence?
Why is there not a single historical villa? Like
this one, or
that one. Too upscale?
I thought a fully upgraded building is inhabited by well to do citizens.
Also, there seems to be a distinct lack of
small rowhouses.
When I build a european city, soon all my low density zones vanish. It seems inevitable, because unlike the wall to wall buildings, that look acceptable even when you plaster them with advertisement signs, the low density concrete glass atrocities do not conform to the cities overarching style.
In fact, the glass bunkers not only look soulless, they don't even offer protection from explosions, or natural disasters and you can't even mount a cannon on top of them.
Caernarfon castle beats them in all categories. Slap some solar panels on top of it and it's a level 5 dwelling worthy of your liege lord!
