New DLC's available

Hi.

Just got informed that there is four new DLC's available in the ingame store to buy for bluecoins. They will also be available at all online portals during next week.

2 developed by Paradox
Soviet Musickpack - 14 new minutes of music, composed by Andreas Waldetoft.
Soviet Spritepack - This will add 17 more Soviet sprites in the game. You will see ,among other things, T-28, KV-1 and 2, and the IS-2 as well as 4 other tanks. Additionally, also 3 new ships, a Submarine, and 5 new aircraft.

2 developed by fans from the community.
German Infantry - This spritepack will add 38 new infantry sprites to the German Nation, adding unique and historical detail to each different unit.
Japanese Infantry - This spritepack will add 33 new infantry sprites to the Japanese Empire, adding unique and historical detail to each different unit.

Nice to see the fans are getting a piece of it too. Won't be buying it though as such superficial modifications to a game are not worth my money.

I don't know what bluecoins are. Basically the same as legal tender? Or some kind of fantasy online currency?

Also, are the packs that were made by fans also going to cost money?

Blue coins are rewards. You earn them by buying things at Gamersgate and by helping with the Game Tutor. You can also buy them. Basically they cost $0.01/each (US).

I have downloaded all 3 new spritepacks, The music I don't need, because I listen to my own music, when playing HOI 3 . But I love it to play with sprites. After the first look I have to say, that these are realy nice Sprites. The german Infantry looks cool. Now i got a kick and I will start a new game with germany thies weekend

While I appreciate the DLC, and agree with additionally developed gaming downloadable content post release costing a small amount of money as a concept, the idea of charging people to download player made addons whilst at the same time not giving those modders any of the proceeds (correct me if I am wrong) doesn't really sit right with me personally.

I agree with Inbrainsane, too early for buying DLC. (And I play counters only )

But a question regarding that: Will there be a complete DLC package at some point? Or will we have to buy everything piece-by-piece?

they are earning money on it. they have a very nice percentage on the sale.

when we announced the dlc concept we told any modder that wanted to sell their work to contact us.. and those guys did...

Wow! They look fantastic. When 1.4 comes out to fix the remaining gameplay issues, this DLC will help create the best WW2 simulation game ever!
