New Countries out of Old ones

I have never done mods before, but recently I have developed an obsession with the idea of creating certain countries out of US states. Namely, I want to make a Texas and a Califorinia, and if its possible I would like to input a Wisconsin nation into the mix.

As I've said, I've never done mods before so I was wondering if someone could help me with the creation of such a mod to perform this task.

Well, Texas, and California are already in the game. But for creating Wisconsin go here. This is where i learned how to make countries (Newfoundland) Its the 6th post down. you will need to have a flag and shield, of course.

Ummm, after following the same link in a different file, I read that......and got totally confused

I guess what I may have been asking was if someone could do the work for me or guide me through it personally.

What I want to do is make said nations either independent at the beginning of the game, or at least make a wisconsin possible to create by liberation.

And yes flags and shields......will I have to design my own pictures for that or something? Sorry, totally lost....

you think you might post those picts in the Hoi2 form, i would love to play as the Badger State, i think eventually I might have all the states independent, I still need some Hawaiian leaders and flags and such....
