Before Conclave DLC, having a weak claim on a title was a nice and cheap way to take them. A civil war was the bet, as the title's possessor was weakened by the internal war and so easier to beat. Unfortunately that's not possible now I and I would like to know why is it still included in the list of options of a character's claim icon.

Is maybe a civil war different now that before Conclave? I'm trying to take the kingdom to Italy into my empire for 50 years an no matter how many civil wars there is, any of them is applicable for my FIVE !!! weak claimants vassals waiting for that crown. :(

Any help?

Can you be more specific? You should be able to press a weak claim if the title is already contested, but other types of revolts don't matter.

Sure. This is the situation: I'm the French emperor and I have 5 counts with weak claim to the Italian crown. There was a war between the current Italian king and another guy trying to overthrow him (he was Italian too). I tried to take advantage of it by declaring war to the king...but to no avail. NONE of my five candidates were elegible as claimants to the Italian crown . This is a major change over previous DLC!
