And I also love just watching the traffic while looking at C:S gameplay (many of us do, so please, give us some gameplay, just you playing the game for an hour, no matter how stupid it sounds, haha).

So I've been quiet and lurking for a long time now. I have a question: Are things still on track for 'Q1' 2015? Steam still says Q1, but I did note that the guy in the video only said 2015; he did not say Q1!

If it's not ready, then it's not ready, and I'll have to wait whether I like it or not, but is there any feedback you guys at CO can give at this point?

P.S. I'm more than happy to alpha, beta, or even omega test the thing; just let me know ;)

The traffic AI seems to be a bit better, they're not all in one lane anymore, but in some cases, you can see some lanes empty. :)

Really like the train bridgee under the highway bridge in the video. Nice to get som faces on the people involved in making the game as well!

Hypnotic... yes, like the beginning of Gameplay Infrastructure.

It should be easy to make some videos about traffic, only record, without comments.

I hope they don't make the traffic AI too good. It shouldn't look artificial, but then again, it shouldn't look too "intelligent" either, because that would be unrealistic. It's supposed to simulate real drivers in a city, you know ;)

I agree, thats why I think that when there is a traffic jam, maybe about 60 percent of the drivers going on that road would avoid it, while the 40 percent would still go to it. Not everyone listens to the traffic radio.

It would be nice if Cims planned their route for today based on the average traffic jams (waiting time on commute) of the last X days, trying to minimize time of the commute rather than distance (as I think SimCity2013 does...). That way, you open a new major route that is empty and fast for first movers, but within a few days everyone "herds" in and it takes another few days/weeks for a new equilibrium to be reached. No idea how feasible this is in the simulation, but possibly a decent way to approximate real world behavior.
