New Byzantine Empire - or - Are client states supposed to be like this?

As Germany I attacked Ottoman empire. I took LOTS of provinces from them - whole Balkans with Greece (except Constantinople) and most of Anatolia. Because Byzantine cores were long gone, I decided to recreate the Empire as a Client State.
It looks like this:

First thing I didn't like was creating the thing. I don't know, maybe I'm doing something wrong, but is there an easy way to do it? I was clicking on every province, the client state button, then the CoA of my new Byz Empire, then "yes" in the popup. I think there should be a way to do it with the "paint the map" tool that we use to construct buildings and recruit armies.

Second, in Dev Diary they said that Client States are "VERY LOYAL VASSALS". My new client state has only the usual +50 from being a vassal and also, they are HOSTILE to me, because they WANT TO CONQUER MY PROVINCES.

On the other hand, I wonder how long this thing would survive without my help. It has no cores, wrong religion and nationalism in every single province. It means 20% unrest everywhere.

You mean my borders? The things at my borders are mostly my vassals - Hansa, Livonian Order (march), Bohemia.
The things in Alpes are due to the fact I had to punish Austria... lots of times - and I wanted the only gold producing province in range.
Those tiny enclaves in my lands are HRE electors - soon to be my tools for dismantling the empire (I'm protestant and I was too weak to win the religious wars 100 years ago...)

Portugal inherited England. And the Swedish story was quite interesting. My Prussia, Bohemia and Norway converted to Protestantism. Catholic Sweded had its provinces costantly converted to Protestantism by close Centers of Reformation and when they lost a war with Muscovy, they were quite weak (and those religious rebels weren't helping).
Then, Norway and Denmark attacked few times and partitioned it

Also, my favourite thing about that screenshot.
Moldavia, 10 years after being released from being Polish vassal by Hungary (I might have helped by attacking Poland while they were trying to conquer what was left of Hungary and this may have caused them to lose that war...) attacked Poland and Lithuania. Alone. Without help or support. It occupied all of Poland and half of Lithuania and then it took the provinces you see here.

Yeah they can core, at least in my game when I was creating client states left right and center they were. Although I think when they loose a province the core disappears, but I'm not to sure.

In my game I created a client state the whole of Britain and they were hostile the entire time! Kinda annoyed at that. But I don't know if that was because I turned it into a march or not :S
Can only improve relations to +100 not to +200 like normal vassals.

They can core, it just take some time before they have ADM points to do it. They start with no cores.

You can. They are like normal vassals.
