they are very detailed and lovely, indeed:) If we now would have the building sets matching to London and Munich, i would be the most luckiest CIM-Player on this planet:)

Thanks! When it comes to the full building sets it's rather big amount of work and we still have to convince Paradox that it makes also financial sense :)

How would you feel about having smaller sets of European buildings (around 5 buildings) or would you want all of them at once?

For me every european city-building is welcome:) Even a few would be great! I think
the industry structures are not that important, because they fit to every style.

For me the most important is:

- to have a few city center buildings, like apartments (old buildings) to create realistic city blocks,

- And a few european stand-alone houses for the outer city areas would be also great.

Edit:
we still have to convince Paradox that it makes also financial sense

A whole building pack would be a great add on which (i believe) many CIM-players would love to pay for:) even without maps...

5 buildings would not be enough in my opinion. It wouldn't make a difference.
Once we will have more than one building styles, will it be possible to choose which style we want the city to generate?
Something like "build only US style", "only European style" etc.
Another option is that buildings of specific style will appear next to buildings from the same style. In this way we can have an american neighborhood, a european neighborhood etc.

I wonder why the old CIM1 buildings cannot be simply "recycled" for CIM2? This has been done in a few cases already... Why should this not be possible in the same way for other buildings? In CIM2 we now have such an awesome editor with a huge flexibility, but in my opinion it can't be exhausted, because the variety of graphic assets is much more thinner than in CIM1.

In a way i like the US Style as well - but it also stands for straight organized grid-cities. In other words: At the moment we can only build "grey cold modern cities without any charming historic breath"... i cannot express it any better, but i hope someone understands what i mean.

By the way: When built inbetween U.S. buldings, the european landmarks look like "alien-architecture"... Seperately they look great, and give a glimpse of how beautiful CIM2 could be... But they don't fit together with US buildings.

I want them all at once ! Financial sense or not :D

Then make a complete DLC bundle with european style DLC and all other released DLCs let's say for 20-25 € and then we have a full prized game but finally complete.

Why not we learn the simcity 5 DLC's. If you build the special landmarks, buildings can become like their country.
For example, after I build the Eiffel Tower, the random buildings become the French Architecture .

I would like something like Paris or St. Peterburg DLC for CiM 1. Of course something similar to Tokyo would be awesome, but Paris and St. Peterburg brought less buildings but was still good. Paris had 40 unique buildings, St. Peterburg had 9 unique buildings. London had 29 unique buildings and US. Cities 37 unique plus 47 unique props. Tokyo 31 unique and 97 unique props. Why lower the standard? Individual landmarks dont please me much.

If you make an entire set of european buildings, the ones on CiM 1, you can sell at higher cost, not 4,99. It could be an expansion not a DLC. And certainly would be the desire of many players, so it does make financial sense. I'm sure Tokyo and U.S. Cities for CiM 1 sold a lot more that the other DLCs.

I don't know anything about art or programming (recycle buildings from CiM 1 as the_traveller said) but I feel CiM 1 had much better DLCs. DLCs with new maps, new set of buildings, new campaign, new vehicles, new characters and new AI vehciles. I was expecting the same standard for CiM 2.

Thank you @ douglasrac. CIM1 was built up with a much deeper evolvement and passion for detail.

After all the good patches the basic game of CIM2 is realy good now. I also have enough vehicles. That means, new buildings and city structures are the one and only reason for me at all, to buy any further DLCs.

And new types of vehicles/stops would be good too.

I'd rather have them all at once and I'd be willing to pay at least as much as I payed for the whole game for a full set of European buildings. But if you can convince Paradox to release them in smaller, consecutive sets, I'll be happy too and will buy each one of them, promised. I really, really want a wide choice of buildings to build more realistic, beautiful cities. This is what made me love CIM1 so much: the amount of extra buildings provided as mods by the community. I want as much as possible.

What is most urgently needed are official buildings like ministries, courts, police stations, fire stations and city halls and leisure time buildings like convention centers, concert halls, fairgrounds. And, most important of all: train stations and airports! Release them one by one as DLC and you'll get filthy rich!

I think the best way to go would be making an entire set of european buildings, and 2 maps with them, and maybe a small campaign if you want...
Then release that at a higher price then regular dlc as an expension pack kind of deal...
If you release all as seperate packs it will probably feel useless to a large part of the userbase.
Remember that normal buildings can´t be build ingame, unlike landmarks...

Speaking for myself, I would like to see additional regional-focused building sets come in one package rather than piecemeal in lots of little DLCs. More than that, I would like to see them combined with new maps/campaign scenarios based in that region. For instance the existing building set and scenarios in the base game might be considered as a "US" region; therefore a future campaign/building DLC or expansion could be designed to represent fictional "European" cities. :)

I would also love a new Europe Expansion pack, but I wouldn't prefer a campaign or map with it. Even though it seems natural to add one, I would prefer more building models in comparison to a map because the community has the ability to create maps.
