New bugs, please help!

First. This game runs horribly on my Macbook Pro now, used to work perfectly now so laggy it's unplayable, even on lowest graphics settings. MacBook Pro is 17" early 2011, 4GB RAM, i7 2.2 GHz, Intel HD 3000 384 MB. OS X 10.11 El Capitan Beta 5, I upgraded because my Mac is so slow, this helped significantly. I have to play it on my PC which is a i3 3.5 GHz, 8GB RAM, Intel HD 4500 or 5000, (doesn't say) Windows 10. I'm going away so I want to play it on my laptop but I don't know if I can.

Second. When I load up my map, it shows the zones as if I'm zoning. Can't do anything till I open zoning and it goes away but now the game is unresponsive and I can't play but the game hasn't crashed. I restarted the game a couple times and it's still happening.

Third. When I save, the game freezes and becomes unresponsive. I can't play after it and sometimes it freezes during save and it didn't save.

All these bugs are new, only occurred last couple days. I will add screenshots in a minute.

Zoning shown as soon as map loads, I haven't done anything yet. Also game won't play. Cant get it out of pause.

Trying to place road. Doesnt work, tool isn't show and it dont click and drag.

Trying to place Statue of Liberty, doesn't show up, wont let me place it.

If it try to reload the map, just sits at this screen forever until I force quit the game.

The bugs only occurred in the last couple of days?

Keeping in mind the last game update was over 6 weeks ago it may not be related to the base game.


Do you have Mods installed or Assets?

Your hardware is way below minimum requirements, the game isn't even supposed to start with that GPU. Sorry, there's nothing we can do to support that computer

It works fine on my Windows PC (lowest settings) and it used to be amazing on my Mac, like graphics set to high but now it doesn't work. Thanks though!

The only mod I added in the last couple days is the larger footprint mod, i have a million assets.

The weird part is the game runs fine on my mac but as soon as I unease it, the timer barley moves.

i have a million assets.

I bet you are loading too much.

We can try this: In Steam right-click on this game and choose Properties. Click on Set Launch Options, and paste this in there:
-noWorkshop -disableMods
And start a new city, as a test.
If that helps, you have buggy mods or assets, or just too many.

I loaded it with nothing and my Mac runs fine now. If i just disable assets and stuff would it still work better? I dont want to unsub from things im using in my main map.

For a start, unsubscribe from anything you don't actually need. Also clear out any save games you no longer need.
