What is the problem?

This feature suddenly appeared in the 1.06 compatible version - as long as I don't know what its relevance is, or what the text for the dialogue box is meant to be, then it will sadly remain unfixed....

not a bug but quite annoying

Not sure where to post this. It's not a bug but I'm certain this does not work as designed.

I noticed that the mobilization events can put troops behind enemy lines (in this case behind my lines). I'm sure this was not intended. This current game, playing Germany, I control much of France inluding Paris and Auxerre. All of a sudden in early november 1914 (or late october) the french mobilization 2/2 event fires and places 4 or 5 divisions in each of those provinces (those in Paris would make short process of a greatly depleted corps of mine on the way to refit on the quiet channel coast, those in Auxerre would only delay one of my final assaults). I think those events should check for control of the provinces (possibly making it separate events for each province triggering on an exact date and only if the province in question is not enemy controlled).

This problem might or might not exist with other mobilization events. Tonight I will check through the files and probably deactivate or modify the French mobilization 2/2 event to continue this game from my latest save file.

Marc aka Caran... getting impatient to free some more troops in the west to push the Russians back out of Prussia (east and west)

Whoops. This was a change brought in with 1.04b/1.06 when it became possible to allocate specific provinces to event-reinforcements, but it looks like this part of the problem wasn't considered.

Having a separate event per province would be a nightmare, I think. It may be that we have to revert to just adding the reinforcements to the force pool, or even just giving a quantity of manpower. There shouldn't be a problem for the first mobilisation event that fires as soon as war is declared, I think.

A possible exception might be for a small number of specific, far-away reinforcements. for eample, a British "ANZACs" event that checks for control of Sydney then puts some divisions in that province, or a Russian "Siberians" event, ditto (in Omsk).

Maybe for France, they should all be mobilised in western provinces like Bordeaux?

This would essentially be an attempt to stop the annoying problem of several divisions getting their way into the force pool with exactly the same names.

I see in the official bug list that war problems with Sanusia are fixed, but after downloaded, I encountered one the other day. War occured in 1915, but before it did I DoWed France. Then, I got the event to join France's alliance. Suddenly I was at war with them and their ally! An army that was in the process of moving to French territory eventually got there, and did not take control of the province. After this I rebooted without save (sorry) but I thought I should report it.

Yes...Is someting wrong :D ;)

What happened is that Italy stayed with the Central Powers, a country that you start off at war with. Which means that an event brought you into the Entente so that Sanusia and Italy remain in seperate alliances, and thus remain at war.

Only that you are dead meat if you start using your beduins...

Well what I've been doing is just taking desert Libya...then I DoWed France (diff game), and sent a unit towards timbuktu and dakar. They died, but I used the exploit to take control of large parts of the sahara, and rubber in the congo area, now we'll see what happens...I'm avoiding conflicts in the congo by continuously redlopying...

Has anybody played as Italy and taken military control of Germany and Austria-Hungary before leaving the Central Powers and joining the Entente?

Rather a large exploit, methinks....

Communication companies also seem to have a maximum speed of 3, irrespective of how one edits the appropriate file in the units folder.

It uses the antitank slot - is it hardcoded to go at a certain speed?
