Very pretty, and according to some stuff I read, pretty close to scientifically accurate. Nice to know that black holes actually do look cool, right?

Since the graphics for the wormholes and black holes were basically the same. And we were unsatisfied with the black holes, we are looking in to it. But with only 1 month too release, and our wishlist honestly being 2 years long, we can make no promises

A color inverse would look cool maybe with some wobbling going through the sphere.
Not all black holes have an accretion disc and even those that do the accretion disc isn't visible on. To have the glowing accretion disc that people are familiar with it basically has to be accquiring matter from a star.

Could you please explain how it was good? It was corny drama, and threw out all sembelnce of being scientific when it used the concept of "Love is the one thing we're capable of perceiving that transcends time and space" (I'm sorry but every time I hear that live I'm not sure if I want to cry, laugh, or puke, love is just a hormonal cocktail). I'm sorry but to me that movie is 3 hours I could have spent either watching two real documentaries which would have been better science, or half a season of star trek which would have been better sci-fi. Actually the original lost in space qualifies as better sci-fi than interstellar, "danger will robinsson", hell the 1998 movie may qualify (it even have a few plot point in common).
Eh it's not scientific accurate you can't see a black hole. If the black hole is accumiulating matter from a star you could see it's accretion disc but the black hole can't be seen at all. That's the scary part you could be flying through interstellar space and hit one without ever seeing it. Same goes for rogue planets.

Also, I noticed in the stream that there were some kind of exotic beasts named 'abyssal dwellers' or something like that. Sounded ominous.

Just make it the same thing but white and without the dust. The wormhole as is is a bit problematic because it's harder to spot than the rest of the objects in the system.
Well these look like proper black holes now, instead of that sinkhole in the ecliptic. Real great to see the devs react to comments.
Looked up black holes on the Wiki, and yes, this "distortion" effect would be really nice if it was added at some point .
