I don't think any people would have stayed unemployed even, if naval industry would have been small. More industry and workforce would have been available for tank factories when ship yards had less work.

I checked the event info. Is it intentional, that Germany can annex Yogoslavia without this event firing? It says that event fires when 50% national provinces have been lost, but when I play with Germany, I got straight to key points and annex.

Those events give more IC, so even if player doesn't want fleet, it makes sense to choose those events and then just cancel all the ships. IMHO it would make more sense, if something good would come from every choise and player could choose which ever choice would suit him best. Like:
- Choose Z-plan = naval techs + keep Raeder
- Choose Y-plan = Get Dönits + sub techs
- Forget the navy = Get more IC
thou shalt not annex Yugoslavia :rofl:

I think the annexing conditions are hardcoded and can not be changed. So you can annex before the event fires.

But it's more fun to conquer it all and gain experience for your leaders then go straight for the kill. :)

William Lee traits bug. Are the others only bugfixes as well possibly? If so, I would say it's probably OK to overwrite. (If you are fixing bugs in those files you should probably also fix the duplicate ID for the Chief of Air Force in the Hungarian minister file.)

Well, it still doesn't explain why those files have to overwrite the original ones. If they are really necessary for CORE they could go in the mod-CORE directory, but they don't.

There hasn't been much attention paid to leader files in the last few versions, so appreciate the detail feedback. We did take the decision to include the 0411 files to streamline the install and this wasn't updated for 1.06. Probably only the UK file and maybe a few others should be in, along with files for new nations of course. I'll try to set aside some time to check which files we should be using, the main problem is that leader/minister files have dependencies (INC files and events) which can cause problems and of course there's no comments in the leader files to document this.

For anybody wondering exactly what files are added outside of /mod-dir just make a C.O.R.E. install to a temp directory. If I remember correctly you'll find that files are installed to /mod-dir, /db, /ai, /config and /gfx plus a few files are dropped in the install directory.

it's actually pretty easy to get Paratroopers in CORE, getting good paratroopers takes longer. Also if you didn't already know, all Paratrooper tech is in the heavy aircraft tech tree

it is not possible to move anything but paratroopers in air transports.

Hi all.

First, i would like to congratulate all reardis the great work done here.

i am currently playing core 0.83 with 1.06 patch. as the USA. the date is 12/1942 and twice in a row -> a message appeared as follows:
"datbase mismatch (type6/id 98001) already used!"
this message was foolowed by:
"datbase mismatch (type6/id 98002) already used!"
"datbase mismatch (type6/id 98003) already used!"
.
.
.
"datbase mismatch (type6/id 98006) already used!"
