Incidentally the antivir program doesn't detect a virus if you use the newest file. I only got the detection once awhile ago before I updated.

As Pkunzipper said above, Stony sprites works best with vanilla HoI. I've installed those few times with CORE and most of the sprites work fine, but there is some problems - sometimes tank sprites are displayed wrong...
Generally you can do this, but I'm not 100% sure what will be the final effect.
Download links has been posted at CORE's website. There's still some updates underway, but you'll find all the download servers there and possibly more mirrors will be added shortly.

Alright here's my first impression after almost 3 hours of play.
It seems that it has slowed the game somewhat down when playing at above normal speed. The screen stutters a lot...but admittedly, my computer is from the stone age (it's a 700 MHz with only 386 MB RAM - and yes, I'm gonna buy a new one in the summer).
Lots of new events - always good.
Exactly why does a dos-screen open each time I start the mod?
I like the fact that democracies (I'm playing as the US) has minimum MP. It will be fun to rearm in 1939-1940!
Also my fleets are already organized in groups - thanks for doing the job for me.
The tech tree is VERY different, but it looks good. It will probably take me a week or so to adjust...
All armies have been scaled down in the start of the game - also good. But aren't the Soviet army too small? (sub 50 div army).
The new CAG planes are a great addition - just to bad their fighting skills are all 1 - but as you've have explained I just have to research.

JJE - I will tell you something. I have a P4 w/ 256MB memory. I just upgraded memory to 512MB. The difference is phenomenal, not just with the game, but on my system as a whole. Night and day. I felt the P4 was too slow, but now I see the memory demands weren't being supported by the memory.
Anyhow, COREv7 puts a heavy load on your system. I close down my Norton AV and disable a few other things, just to make it as streamlined as possible. It still runs fine without all that disabled, but I like the extra system resources. Personally, it must be very difficult to play this version on your system. If you do upgrade, you'll find the play remarkably superior.

Thanks for all the harde work guys! I just installed it, and started to play a game and I have a questions. Some of the more well known leaders are now missing their pics, like Rommel and Guderian, I thought I had applied the latest pic pack, but why would they be gone? Did I screw something up when installing?

Congrats to the CORE team on another release, I think I have played all of them, this one looks to be the largest increase in volume of changes in the series.
Looking forward to starting a new game as Germany in 3 hours when my kid goes to sleep !

Try installing pic pack (to the HoI directory) again, that should help.
