One very minor problem ...... With the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, the Germans get two panzer divisions in their force pool. They both came up as the SS-Panzerdivision "Wiking". Same name. Only been in that situation once, so I don't know if it can be replicated.

Frankly, I was enjoying the game too much to want to go back and do a lot of investigating.

So far the other 99.9% of the game seems to be outstanding. :)


(Now Trocking back to the game to continue teaching the Allies the error of their aggressive ways) ;)

more navy bugs

Bugs in the UK navy ships in 1936 :

several ships (like the HMS Ajax or Newcastle) are designed as Nuclear cruiser in the build queue.

I just noticed that many ships in the initial OOB are designed as "Nuclear" (carriers HMS Glorious and Courageous for example) . Is there a way to correct this "manually" ?

On the AAR :
* Euzkadi declared his independance in octobre 1936, and was annexed by Nationalist Spain in February 1937.
* Republican Spain was annexed by the Nationalist in february 1937.

Phew! I got CTD although I did a fresh install and the whole procedure. I also thought that the autosave had gone corrupt. The latest manual save was from a year later date. Took me few hours to notice that the autosave is ok. A close one I would say. :rolleyes:

I discovered an awful typo! There's line "inflicting more punishment" repeated twice in the level 3 arty tech: improved FA equipment and ordnance description. ;)

I'll get back to you if the CTD repeats...

The ships are of the correct model, only the class name is wrong.

When it comes to allied landings and exp forces to France problem. IMO we should concider deleting France after the Vichy event and recreate it a day later with a new ID and new, agresive AI. This way we'd avoid several problems:
- hard-coded french territory in northern France
- allied exp. forces landed succesfully only to be sent under command of WWI generals who don't mova a finger for several years despite having 11:1 odds
- French forces fighting in France in huge numbers after the Vichy event (in my last game they would've annexed Vichy in 1940 if it wasn't for their VPs seized in Spain...

We could give the newly-formed country it's historical forces in 1940 and 1 VP per every rovince to avoid it being annexed by Argentina
Other choice would be just simply ending the whole story, giving the territories historically under FF control to the Allies and recreating France after the Allies cross the Rhine.

I can code it, but you'll have to give me some backup on this one. Ideas, suggestions, opinions, historical territories and so on.

All divisions created via events get the same name, it's a known Paradox bug. There's no event parameter for naming them.

Ok its 1942 and Aturk is still the state of head.

Well I joined the axis 1939 attacked and annexed Lebanon and Syria took Damascus and took the Jerusalem and Homs. I couldnt go further because I wasnt at war with Egypt and if I declered war i would get 80 in dissent which was what I got when I DOW:ed Iraq.

Well the brittish took rhodos from the italians and attacked my mainland from there just with one division and just walking around in my land and i easily cut of there supplies and destroyed that division. And also they attacked from the Greece(they had military acces) island with two divisions but i managed to hold them of. The strange thing is that the axis dont attack Greece. Never happend for me when playing core.

Shouldnt it happen something in Iraq? Because there were a pro-germany goverment there and the brittish attacked Iraq and made Iraq there puppets in real life. Its 1942 and nothing have happend there.

The axis declered war on Soviet in april 1941 which would be the date they would attacked if not they had to deal with the greeks. Well in 1942 they havent went far and the Soviets have installed a puppet in Romania and they are at war with Japan which is ahistorically.

The chinese is getting beated they only got 5 provinces left. But the communists gets provinces but events and those provinces is far away from their Capital.

Also in 1942 USA joins the war. The italians have been kicked out in Africa(both in Libya and Ethoipa) and the australians have conqured the vichy france provinces in northafrica. Southafrica first joined the war and then left it. The brittish have in 1942 invaded Sicily and they are advancin fast.

But I dont understand why the Germans installed a puppet in Denmark. Well they only got 1 province. The danes. The germans have annexed Norway in 1941.



I think that there are too many doctorines that makes the italian army better. Well ofcourse there were some good soldiers and divisions but not so good that they will get two doctorines which raise all the military elements by 5% in org. This makes the whole army and not just single divisions better. I think this is bad.

And I think I have found a bug. In 1940 when I had conqured some provinces wich raised my IC my coal supplies went down and from 114 IC it went down to 50. I canceld my trade with the coal and instead i traded steel for coal. It didnt helped.

Note that I produced 230 coal and my industry needed 228. I tried with changes my ministers that boosted the IC so the reqruiments for coal would lower. It didnt worked. And the trade with steel for coal didnt worked either I just loose steel and dont get any coal. My coal supplies is always at 100-150.

Italy performs as well as it does because it recently went through an OOB and AI refit. The new OOB actually gives them fewer units in 1936, but the AI refit improves research paths as well as garrison priorities and troop deployment to make them more efficient. These improvements have resulted in a drastic increase of performance. You could neuter the Italian army to be 25% weaker as it currently is, and it would still be successful because it deploys its units intelligently.

Italy has 3 own doctrines...
2 compensate themself one another: the former (that Italy has from the start) weakens all units, the latter put them at the same standard of other nations, the third reflect the presence of a "Bersaglieri" (Italian Elite unit) on every italian division (except militia) and the Elite quality of italian mountain troops ("Alpini").

"Ataturk death" event now is fixed and will be included on the first hotfix.

Liberate puppet, steel shortage and low IC are game issues (maybe high dissent), nothing is related with CORE.

Hystorically Denmark was a German puppet in WW2...

Greece often is attacked by axis, sometimes it stays neutral and seldom it joins axis.

I think too we should delay as long as possible Japonese/Russian war.

Usually CTD are caused by HOI bug or bad written events. If you have a savegame in which you can always reproduce a bug, please send it to us, so we can fix it (if the cause is an event)!

More information we have on CTD, more are the chance for us to fix it

Axis minors issue

How on earth to get the Axis minors to loan out their forces to Germany as expeditionary forces more often? Most of the games I see Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria horde their forces inside their borders, although the Balkans are in German control.

Ok here it comes....

1939 14th september the german Uboot fleet engages the enemy in Waddensee.
21 flottillas vs 45 capital ships and small ships.
By 20th september germany desides to put the Capitol ship fleet out of drydock.
On october 5th the capital ships joins the battle of waddensee.
Up til now the allied fleet are 56 ships, cuttign smal losses on both sides its 45 vs 56.
By 30th october the german high command orders the Kriegsmarine to whilhelmshafen for extensive repairs and resuplly.

German losses: 12 Uboots out of 21
Allied looses: 15 ships no intell on size but confirmed sinking of 5 cruisers.

Issue 2

Worldmarket

In my game I had to deal with the worst woldmarket I came across for a long time. In 1938 no steel or rubber is gettable with less then 3:1 and then only 1 or 2 trades.
By the time Germany went to war with Poland (danzig or war) I had 0 rubber 80000 oil and 40000 steel with will both drain fast now. Conversation techs help but I cant convert steel :D
I normaly need about 70000 steel befor I can get more in Belgium and France, but atm thats out of the question. I will dry out long befor then.

I can second Pkunzipper's statement that the Italian army was a much more complicated entity than history gives it credit for. My Grandfather was in the Bersaglieri in Ethiopia from 1940-41, and fighting there was fierce (however historians make it sound like a cakewalk). Just because the 10th Army was destroyed in 1940 does not mean it fell easily or because of the quality of the troops (95% of all British armour, including all of the 50-100 Matilda II tanks were destroyed, but still, it is reported as a simple military operation).

Copper Nicus and MateDow are the experts but I believe this will be due to two things:

- Overstacking penalties (severe in 1.05c, hardcoded by Paradox)

- Nighttime and weather modifiers (increased in C.O.R.E.)
