Re: Creating North Korea

Whoever scripted North Korean independance, I need some help.

I am trying to create the country so I can check their new counter colors and territory color. I can get South Korea setup easily, but I can't find the proper event to force to get North Korea to appear. IOW, I need to see a North Korean province and a North Korean counter.

The 952088 and 952090 events don't make any provinces become North Korean (although 952088 grants them independance). So I don't know what event does it.

I must say, it looks complicated. Quite interested to actually play through it all. Whoever did it, you seem to have nailed the serious complexity of the historical situation quite well.

Thanks!

I'll take a look at it tonight.

I'll try some and let you know later... It would be very, very nice to have this fixed for Saturday's release. :D

This might be a dum question, but why in the paradox verision of the game, I can grant independence and not in the CORE version?
They are both using 1.05.c patch...

Question re: possible bug

It is Jan 39, CORE 0.61 MP and I am Japan - several of the provinces which I have conquered from China seem to be losing infrastructure - dropping from 34-40 down to 29. Is this a partisan effect, or a bug, or something I have just previously missed?

BTW, none of these provinces have changed hands recently, they are simply dropping in infrastructure. It's unrelated to weather, as far as I can tell. But some of the provinces were ungarrisoned. Is this a partisan effect, or a bug?

This is very strange. It would be normal for the conquest to temporarily reduce the infrastructure, and for it to gradually recover, but it sounds like this is working the opposite. Might well be worthy of a bug forum report, as I don't think such a thing is within the purview of CORE to alter (for better or worse).

No such thing as a dumb question, if it works in vanilla then we'll need to take a look at it. My comment was based on the numeros bug reports regarding liberation in 1.05c and a general assumption that this fit into that category. It surprises me that there's a difference since we use the same minister, leader and revolt files as far as Croatia is concerned.

Which provinces were affected? There's an event for the destruction of the Huyankow Dikes which drops infrastructure in a number of Chinese provinces. It's restored some time later.

CORE game

Hi all,

Playing my first CORE game (0.6) and must congratulate the modders for a job well done. It does add an awful lot more atmosphere and interest to the game ( if this were possible )

However, I'm a little confused as to why tanks are so crap.

Ok, Its mid '38 as Germany and just researched light tanks, but realised just how much more hopeless they are when compared to vanilla HOI. Infantry has much better values and the MOT INF especially with brigades is just awesome.

Before I plunge headlong for 50mm Medium tanks..are they much better ?

I think there was some speculation that having military units inherited by the new country made it more likely to crash. Any differences there (starting unit locations)?
