This is WAD, and you're in a bad position. Next time, don't let your dissent get so high.

If you want to battle on with this game, I guess you'll need to cease all new production, disband any unnecessary units so that you have enough IC to supply what's left plus pour some into consumer goods, use all possible ministers who can lower dissent, and tough it out.

issue with core .061

playing as germany. i chose the ribbentrop-schulengerg option, and when the country creation events fire (the baltic and belorussian ones, for example), nothing happens. when the ukraine event fired, the ukrainians got Krasnodar as their only province. is this WAD? i chose the hardest difficulty level, and i have yet to get the bitter peace.

Well, either one of two things happened. Either it magically jacked itself to 100, in which case you have a genuine bug that is worth reporting to Paradox in the bug reporting forum, or it rose because you shorted the populace on consumer goods. It would not take very long, or a great shortage, to send your dissent up like a rocket. Even a one point underage is a much greater dissent gain than a one point overage is a dissent loss.

There is no circumstance that I know of in the game, short of a desire for your government to be overthrown by its own people, in which it is ever worthwhile to offer even a tiny fraction less consumer goods than your populace demands.

Reported bug connected with modification of "independence" rules in HoI 1.05c. Will be corrected in 0.62 patch - right now only option (1) - historical policy works properly. :(

Well known and yes, it's the US convoys as well. It's a trivial fix and will be done in v0.62.

In fact, its forces only fired weapons in anger at the Allies in a few cases, all when the Allies attacked them: Madagascar, Mers-el-Kebir, the occupation of the Levant, and Casablanca. In no case did they put up a meaningful fight--nor were they in any position to.

Also some discussion over the last month in the CORE Western Europe thread. Didn't see any posts from you in the thread during that time so you may have missed it.
The bug forum thread seems to be leaning toward making Vichy an Axis country with the most passive AI possible and reducing their military somehow.

EDIT: Spent too much time researching instead of posting.:)

Hmm. Thanks, fellas. I wouldn't have thought to look in the bug forum because frankly, it doesn't belong there if what is being considered is what CORE should do (which is all I care about, because CORE is my reason for caring about HOI). I'll go read it, though.

Is it considered naughty to repost one's post in another forum? I'm pretty good about not discussing nasty political systems, atrocities, or trying to download betas I'm not supposed to, but they have what we baseball fans call a 'quick hook' on these forums.

I cant think of any event that could trigger in that time, unless its the german trade with SU, but that worked fine in 39 and 40 and I also looked it up and it seemed right.

If anyone can point me to a event in that time, I can check

edit: I did check bug forum but didnt find a hint on SU problems with 0.61MP

Hmm. Thanks, fellas. I wouldn't have thought to look in the bug forum because frankly, it doesn't belong there if what is being considered is what CORE should do (which is all I care about, because CORE is my reason for caring about HOI). I'll go read it, though.

I think it was originally posted in the Bug Forum because zsolo felt rather strongly about this... I think it should probably be moved to the Suggestions forum :) The discussion is not related to C.O.R.E. but the thread is a good read if you want some different perspectives on Vichy and why we will never satisfy everybody no matter what we do.

Cross-posting isn't a bad thing as long as you keep it relevant to the topic at hand and limited, ie re-using your post above in the other thread is fine. If it's a large amount of information it's usually better to just post a link to the thread, same thing goes for external sources (ie link to the source is better than re-posting copyrighted text without crediting the source).

belief it or not I dont have a active emailaccount atm :D

I manualy increased gamedate to 29th Feb, and the event didnt trigger anymore. so the eventwindow must be between 15th and 29th Feb '41 , hope this is helpfull.

Has anybody ever noticed that movement times into other provinces varies enormously, you can send 1 infantry to a recently occupied province and it can take 1 month + the path is through another province, wait 2-6 days and it suddenly only takes 6 days and the path is direct. Nothing to do with weather or infra and happens everywhere, is this a known HOI bug?

I can imagine that the AI sends troops into battle or just moving them around and they take far too long to arrive due to this, decreasing their org. strenght.
Human can wait and try again later.

AFAIK this can be caused by two things:

- Temporary "out of supply" or "out of oil" status just after entering an enemy province. This affects the "pause and order" player, AI shouldn't be affected because it usually takes the AI a day or two to "reorganise" and issue new orders.

- Temporary infra loss (I know you said this wasn't the case here), if it drops below 34 the move time increases dramatically

Neither of these 2 are the cause, I have checked, we are talking about vanilla infantry trying to follow up a tank advance and subsequent occupation of territory east of the Vistula in the Polish campaign, infra was not below 34, neither were they out of supply or anything. It just took about 3-5 days for an arrival to change from +1 month and through another province and 7 days directly over the river.

It's not a problem, it just seems to me that the update program is a bit behind in updating the possible paths etc, or something like that.

Can you try replicating that in vanilla 1.05c and report it to Vulture? I don't think there's anything we changed that affects this.

Movement times

Okay, here is what I found out in vanilla HoI as well as in C.O.R.E :

If you -blitz- someone it is better right after you win the fight and your mech or armor moves on, to stop it, because this will save you a couple of days, dunno why but thats how it works.

with the weird movement times try just give your units a one hour break after arriving in a province, since working with the shift button to set waypoints adds also hours if not days to the total movementtimes.

I have experienced the same as you described it is a vanilla HoI issue. I reported it already in 1.1 I think. Hoever I didn´t play HoI recently but I thought it is fixed already. Well it doesn´t seem so.
