AI air force is almost completely beyond our control. We can tell the AI how important it is to protect resources and IC, but not to escort bombers or provide CAP for armies. Also the AI cheats on rebase range, which allows them to place aircraft almost anywhere.

Regarding diplo and joining the Axis this is well known but cutting back on DI doesn't help as Germany, Italy etc all gain DI every month and any country which is PA is *very* likely to join the Axis once Paris falls. One option is to edit the governments and make some of them Centrist instead of Paternal Autocrat.

Note: the same applies to the Allies. For example if Poland goes left in the 1936 elections it is almost certain that they will join the Allies as the UK invites them 4-6 times per year.

Not sure if you have thought about this or have talked about it somewhere (I'm in a hurry and don't have time to read through all the pages in here) - but there's a weird bug/feature with the latest core release:

The random event that gives you a tech can give you the non-researchable ones. I was playing USA and got "Political Control Over Army" from a miraculous scientific breakthrough. Pretty bizarre if you ask me... :)

Miraculous indeed. However, I'm not shure we can do anything about it as this event gives random tech... It shouldn't happen too often.

I'm pretty sure this can be prevented by having another tech that disables PCOA tech. Basically every other nation should have the disable tech. The same would apply to Bushido Codex etc.

In 0.6 all "national" and "unreaserchable" techs will be disabled for the certain groups of nations from the level of inc file (I was not aware of that method earlier).

Political control in US Army? Hmmm, like political correctness 40 years earlier... ;)

I may not understand the problem you are discussing so take the following for what it's worth (nothing?).

AFAIK events override "unresearchable" or "disabled" conditions for techs. In other words, an event will give any tech to any country even if the tech has prerequisites that have not been met (unresearchable) or even if the tech has been "disabled" by another tech.

This happened in v1.04, and i have tested it in v1.05 and you are totally RIGHT, i do not know how they code, but it look like if the file that are you referring to ,for example ministers_SYR.csv, doesn't exist in the original HoI directory "\db", you will not be able to see their ministers, the same happens for their leaders.
so, i need to test it, but i am sure that this countries has NO ministes & leaders:
-SYRIA (tested)
-LEBANON (tested)
-INNER MONGOLIA (tested)
-R.S.I.
-EGYPT (tested)

so, Steel, in the hotfix, we will need to move their respective files to the the original HoI directory "\db". :(
I have tested if Costa Rica leaders load correctly, and they appear ingame, so it looks like i am right, if the file is not included in the original "\db" directory, then, the modded one is not loaded. :D

Nope. The INC files (startup tech) overrides pre-reqs but with events you must have the pre-reqs.

So what's the general opinion? Should I build a patch tonight with the fixes we have?

- Bug 1 is "weird by design" so I've not changed anything there. Any suggestions?
- Bug 5 & 7, Generalisimo can you send me the fixed events?
- Bug 4 I've got half the fix here, Generalisimo can you send me your half?
- Bug 6, I think I've got the right models.csv and text.csv now
- Bug 2 & 3, any update on a fix?


We need some updates to the bug list as well:
- new bug: minister/leader mod-dir problem
- new bug: typos in armor tech file
- new enhancement: Soviet OOB by Barrabas (soviet.inc, unitnames.csv and models update.csv)

All of them are are fixed :)

1) all the people suggest changing all the minors that doesn't have any special sprite to MIN again, instead of the major tag that they have now( for exaple SPR has SOV as the sprite TAG, people suggest changing it to MIN again, and i agree that it looks weird to have soviet infantry+tanks+planes+etc in Spain... :D )

Even the Commonwealth and Comintern minors? I think Australia, New Zealand, South Africa could all have ENG sprites and Tannu Tuva, Mongolia could have SOV. Other opinions?

Note I've kept MON/TAN as SOV sprites. Also AST, NZL, SAF, CAN are using ENG sprites. VIC, SLO, CRO and UKR are using GER sprites. LIB and PHI are using USA sprites.

yes, those are obvious, but people complain about (i will put the ones that i remember):
SPA, CHI, POL, BEL, GRE, SPR... and more... :D
Also, think that the USA sprites has the white star, so it is really annoying to see ARG armors with the white american stars.... :mad: :mad: :mad:

For leaders and ministers, I've added Egypt, Inner Mongolia, Lebanon, Syria and RSI to \db\.. (nothing is over-written).

About the typos bug, you can put Reported: Steel Owner: Steel.


EDIT: I've added the Soviet leaders and ministers to \mod-CORE\db\.. so I will not over-write original Paradox files.

Nope. The INC files (startup tech) overrides pre-reqs but with events you must have the pre-reqs.

Glad to be corrected. Should have known you are the code master. I probably mixed up inc file or edited savegame with events.

My bad I am so used not rereading my englsih post and making all the fault to typos that I forgot to readproof my french :p

If I can put back my hand on the TEM 9 I would have some date to show on first french mecanised units... I f anyone have info to remove them at start I would be glad to hear.
