Leaders
Not really a bug or suggestion, forgive me if I`m trespassing.
I wouldn`t dream of playing HOI any other way than with CORE, it`s just superior in so many ways !
However, HOI 1.05 has many more leaders and leader pics, which I enjoy. I`d like to move the leaders from vanilla HOI to CORE.
I copied the \db\leaders folder and \GFX\Interface\pics folder from HOI to CORE-mod, but I still can`t get the HOI leaders in CORE. What else do I need to change

did you install CORE into your Hearts of Iron directory?
You are using last version of CORE?
Last version of CORE includes HoI 1.05 leaders, you do not need to do that... (the files that are not included in the CORE package are taken from the HoI directory).Originally posted by Doc2

Sadly my last saved game was in mid-1941. So i'm not much in the mood to go all the way back to 1944 but i guess i might do that. I'd save more often now.

Im not able to find either the launch file or the shortcut to CORE after i installed it.
Ive only downloaded the C.O.R.E. v0.5. Do I need anything else
I have the Stonymod already installed and working. The reason i wanted to try the CORE mod is that I was hoping that something had been done to the lousy #&%¤&/¤%# Worlmarked. Lately I havent been able to launch any war because im too busy micrmanaging my trade.

Here's some installation instructions. Follow them and you'll be fine. All the files can be found at the CORE site. However (as you've been advised) try to post further questions in the discussion thread.

I activate CORE from the desktop icon.

about this vichy bug. im at october 39 using 0.52. is it possible for this bug to be fixed in my currrent game so i dont have to start again?

I just wanted to say publicly that I've been playing CORE for the first time all day long (off from work) and I've been having a blast.

Updating the tech files should allow a game in progress to continue past the point of failure in 1940. This is because the crash is caused by VIC receiving a French tech which does not exist in the default v0.52 tech file. As this tech is present in the updated tech file, the CTD should not occur.

The Paradox v1.05b is available from a sticky thread in the GD forum right -> here <-. Install that first.
You will also need the v0.51 patch as the v0.52 release does not include the v0.51 files. Install v0.5, then v0.51, then v0.52. There is also two hotfixes available, download and save to your \Hearts of Iron\mod-CORE\db\tech\ directory.

Finally, regarding the installation of C.O.R.E. v0.5 - you most likely did not get an icon because it was not installed to the directory where your HoI.exe is located. You must update the installation path to point to the right directory, please check the distributor part (defaults to \Strategy First\) as that is the most common mistake.
There is not a problem having both Stony and C.O.R.E. installed as long as you installed Stony first.
