Now how the hell do I remove those stupid shortcut buttons?! I can't even name a unit if i want it to begin with W E R T P or S.
I've tried to change the buttons, then the game won't start, I've tried to remove the lines completely, then the game won't start, I've tried to put # in front of all the lines, then the game won't start. Now what am I supposed to do?!


To fix the problem just copy the \Hearts of Iron\config\buttons.txt to \Hearts of Iron\mod-CORE\config\buttons.txt (overwrite the latter file). This will restore default behaviour.

Bug 24 (v0.2)
Mexico - Event "Conservative support for Callas" (id = 602006) does not fire due to missing ID for HoG. User report only, not verified.

Selective Service event did not fire after all historical choices in previous events

Status: Invalid. This event is to let USA prepare for the "upcoming" war when Germany takes Paris. The way it is designed it doesn't matter which were your previous choices.


About the Turkish event: "The fascists are gaining more power", i have modded it to make it more dificult to happen. Also it will not trigger at the beggining of the game anymore. Now it is also connected to another turkish event (Inonu cracks on far right).
And, i forgot, more consistent triggers now... :D

It would be nice to be able to change resource values by event (which begs the question why not as every other value can be changed). Random events like "mines exhausted" or "new resources found" as well as historical discoveries could be implemented. It would also help with some of the resource hoarding issues that have been raised. Has anyone mentioned this to Paradox?

There are other ways to show Saudi Arabia's partnership with the US. (Yes the US and SA were friends before the Gulf War)

One way would be like the GER-SWE trade events.

With the right timing we can make it so SA gets a ton of oil, then trades some.

Just a few observations...

1. Germany always ends up in a war before the historic September 1, 1939. This is just a turnoff, lol, and I wish it didn't happen.

2. Hungary shared Partisans with me, argggggggggg

3. It was 1947, and Austria was still neutral.

4. Historically, Vichy France was waiting to see who was going to be top dog in the battle of Axis vs. Allies. To put it bluntly, Axis was dominating, and Vichy France was still neutral. Can this be fixed?

5. Germany did a crappy job invading Norway and got kicked out immediately, so when Finland went Axis, Finland annexed Norway. Sort of... weird that Germany couldn't do it itself.

6. Never saw any Ukraine events (I was playing as Italy).
But besides those, pretty good ;)

Playing as Germany..........

1. When asked to send the first batch of support to Nationalist Spain in the Spanish Civil War, Germany is promised Late War Experience Analysis tech as a reward. When I elected to support Nationalist Spain, Germany did not receive the promised tech. Is this a bug?

2. When the Spanish Civil War ends, Germany is promised Pre-War Field Testing and Combat Training Team Doctrine techs. Germany actually received Pre-War Field Testing but not Combat Training Team Doctrine. Is this a bug, or does Germany need to have researched the Combat Training Team Doctrine precondition Technology in order to receive Combat Training?

Theres multiple "Pre War Field Testing" things for each branch of military power.

I really liked the new techs in 0.4,but i think there is a bug there.
For political control to be researched,there must be a tech discover that has polit.control as its own prerequisite!
Moreover,for Patriotic War to be researched,you have to discover MBT first.MBT is the last armour tech!
I really liked the new events though...

That was the intention of the author as these techs can (and should) be researched only by events. Historically there was no way UK developed the same level of political control as USSR had.
