Another good session for the Axis.
The German offensive against spain was a complete sucess with portugal also being over run. Spain was annexed and all the spainish forces in north africa vanished making the Uk defences there untenable. German forces landed behind Allied lines in the spainish part of morroco and advanced towards algiers. Italian forces had stopped a few provinces from aligiers after allied forces massed there, making it easy for the germans to advance.
At the same time an Italian invasion of syria happened to take damascus so the Axis could annex vinchy france and take them out of the war. A few battle took place with the Axis holding it just long enough for the annex to happen (by 3 hours so i was informed). This soon turned into a full blown invasion by Italian forces with large battles happening the Axis forces slowly invreased the foothold taking the vital port and airbases of Tel Aviv. The middle east is poised for a decisive moment. With German forces now freed from spain, north afrcia and yougoslavia reinforcements will overwelm the now badly beaten allied armies.
It seems only a matter of time before the UK is defeated, with the squandering of so many forces in far off lands. Soon other larger operations will draw the UK's attention. With Gibralter in Axis hands, Italian fleets, are now free to combine with German forces for offensives all over the atlantic. Who will be next, south africa, canada the UK itself. Is there no limit to the power of the Axis forces, it seems not.
Next session looks like monday night 7pm.

The Axis are doomed, major has kindly given the US 2 years of full pre war IC. Japan has been talking to FDR about things and I'm queitly confidant we can come to an arrangment. Germany and Italy will bear the full brunt of the worlds largest Industrial Power and remember even without USSR and UK the USA outdoes the combined IC of the axis powers
When I invade you it will be with an army of enourmous size backed by a huge airforce and a CV fleet of some 30 carriers. You are doomed

I'd like to take an Axis minor, say Hungary, if that's OK with the group. I think having a super US will even out another Axis minor
On second thoughts give me Brazil, Hungary gets to have no fun and will probablly get annexed by Russia anyway.

Brazil has been doing very well with all the help the US has been giving it. My plan was to bring Brazil into the war at pearl Harbour.
Brazil has some 30 inf divs and a small navy. It has 35 IC and full resource stocks. Brazil is an allied country, if you want to play SOuth American axis you need Argentina

Lets get some facts correct...It was not Germanies warmongering but the UK player bringing in so many minor allies to their Alliance. Why I get a penalty for that I do not know but my belligerence was up over 40 with the Polish event and I did nothing to contribute to this. Dont know why the USA player is able to join the war in 1939 when all I attacked was the historical countries. Repulican Spain being the exception but they were allied so I had to attack. Its been my argument all along that if the USA player moves the intervention slider from 1936 they can enter the war in Europe come 1939. Great game for the allies but just screws the Axis over in another game. I dont wish to have a Brazil player in this game as I never planned to play against a Brazilian player. I dont mind if you take over an Allied minor. If the USA players DOW Germany before Pearl harbour event Germany will surrender.
I think you should just cop it on the chin, events have unfolded as they are, and the US (and any country) has the right to join the war whenever they like, it's their nation.
And as BB said, Brazil is leaning very much towards the Allies - just because you did not envision a mighty Brazilian army attacking you or your Allies doesn't mean noone can touch them.

Anyway, another bad session for the UK. The brutal German assault on Vichy France, the state they helped set up, meant that sooner or later Spain would fall, we couldn't get enough troops into Spain to hold them off forever. So we retreated to Africa, republican Spain was annexed and all the republican troops disappeared. Stupid. So we lost Vichy France as well, although only 3 hrs away from Damascus.
Anyway, more horriible losses, but we have regained control of the air, with New Supermarine Spitfires now taking to the skies under Hugh Dowding.

Most of you belligerence came from Vichy France's african territory, setting off the additional war gearing events, giving the US more IC and more interventionism. You get something like 1 bell per province when annexing. Vichy France was hardly a "historical" target.

Major, it would be stupid for me to dow Germany right now. I have no army to speak of. And nothing made you attack Yugoslavia which was the catalyst for the 3rd gearing up. And yeah I did notice that you had very high Belligerance after dowing Poland.

And if Munster tries to match Navies (which I am already ahead with cos Japan has focused on land and air power) i will be able to build 4 CVs to his every one easily. Axis still have a narrow window to win the war. You must overwhelm the UK before I am able to intervene. And a quick campaign in the USSR is a key. germany is kidding itself if it thinks it can directly attack the USA. I have almost 130 ships many of them heavy combatants. I was left with no alternative but to DOW Vichy...Could not leave a Repulican Spain Allied with the Allies. My belligerence was shot before that.
And Husyan I dont really care what you think but there will not be a Brazillian player. Its not the military I fear but the use of Brazilian bases upsetting my African plans.

BTW Bumble dont let Munsters complaining make you think you are invincible...have a look at the 38 game we are playing and look at the USA and UK getting smashed even though USA has had full gearing for about 3 years before war.
