Ok Nolan, Well GK would you like the UK. I know its a challenge but that is the fun part of it. You will have Nolan who has played the UK who can give both BB and GK good advice. Also Gezeder has good ideas and concepts on how to manage your economy and do the buildup of forces so i would really ask him the best way to do things as well, if you want advice that is.

Im sure Nolan will have plenty of time as Australia to chat and give you some pointers.

BB i think you are capable of playing the US, sure you have alot to learn but no better nation to do it with. Becuase if you lose lots of units you have the huge IC and Manpower to replace your losses relatively quickly. You also have plenty of time as it will take a number of weeks to reach war and longer for the US to join the war IF it goes as historical dates. So there is lots of time to practice in SP and put some advice from your allies into practice.

This last game i saw both omni and gezeders tactics evolve as lessons were learnt fighting me and major. To bad omni learnt to fast damm it.

So even if the allies suffer large losses which may happen (historical) you have the power to recover. As the axis you cant afford those mistakes as victory is only a slim chance but as our knowledge and strategy progress the chances will increase.

So jump in the deep end and take a chance. Good luck, i look forward to turning Floridia into a Italian holiday resort.

Its like that for everyone....On slow you have more than enough time to do most things. Its best to use your quick battle prompts up the top left you can cycle thru all you current battles quickly. You only have to respond to things that efefct you so yo ucan turn a lot of messages off. A lot of your forces you can leave with missions you dont even have to kep an eye on them. The UK is worse and sometimes it seems overwelhiming but you just need to focus on the importaant things. You dont have to go to every battle....Have a go at it bumble...you will have nothing to do but produced untis and tech for 5 yeasr

I won't be playing any more HOI2, with the exception of completing the Tuesday game when Omni has time.

Oh well- Thanks for letting me play my first session of HOI 2 MP. Sorry it wasn't fun for you Gezeder.

Anyway, 1936 was a year of turmoil and hunger for the British empire. The year began badly with the Hun occupying the Rhineland region and the death of the beloved George V.

The year saw controversy as major workers strikes hit the Yorkshire coalmines, protests occurred over the Baldwin governments plans to reintroduce conscription, the Communist party was left unbanned and the government aided volunteers in the Spanish civil war. Owing to these difficulties, ambitious plans to raise hundreds of new infantry divisions, upgrade the army and air force, build new armoured divisions and build new carriers and bombers were vetoed owing to budget cuts in order to placate strikers.

Still, the end of 1936 saw signs of recovery under as the King and PM Baldwin were both jailed for life for hgih treason. The new government under Chamberlain has brought new vigour to Britain, with Anglo-Iranian and British Electrical posting record profits after developing new agricultural and industrial techniques. 1937 promises a new Britain under a new government.

Ok from a neutral perspective you both have valid points. I believed it was with-in the spirit of the game for Russia to do what it did, if they didnt want to trade with Germany tough luck, there would reprcussions for russia later on.

I would also expect Hiter to be pissed and some times people do take it a bit personl, its human nature, just like its human nature for you to be a little to sensitive. I know some times when i was your allie as Germany i was telling you to hold your ground and you got very sensitive about it. I think you do take things people say far to seroiusly. Maybe you can put your words across in a more educated or less confrontinual way, but others cant. This is not a dig at you just an observation from experience. Hey and i do moan alot when some one pisses me off, i dont take it personal, it gives me the shits, but ill still go have a beer with major and watch west coast kick the crap out of his poor carlton team.

There have been plenty of times where people in our group have disagreed but we always work through it. The results are two of the best MP games i have seen. Come on where else can you go and play HOI 2 MP games hat go for months and are still ongoing. The most disapointing aspect was you left far to quick, we could have worked it out. Some times you need to take a step back and say right this &%#@ wants to do this does he well i do this then. Cause and Affect.

But i accept your apology and understand and look forward to kicking omni's ass hopefully with you as my allied.

If I remember correctly, I also refused (apart from the original ones already there on startup) trades with Germany. There are plenty of other avenues, but a human trade is also better.

And Major isn't the only one to curse another player (or act suprised) when something doesn't go his way, I remember I called Roosevelt some nasty words after he denied me 2 LLs :)

Washington Post April 1937...

The Recovery Begins:

Emerging from a crippling depression of the late 1920s and carrying on into the 1930s America has finally recovered! All across the nation last year thousands of jobs have been created in brand new factories. Business are bushed about increasing consumer demand for cars, fridges and textiles. Industrial output for the nation is up by at least 10% in the last year alone with more strong growth forecast.

FDR wins 2nd term:

In a landslide for the Democrats incumbent president Franklin D. Roosevelt was returned to office for a 2nd term. Under his inspired leadership America has emerged from the depression stronger then ever. The people are also relieved to know that under FDR America will not involve itself in Europe and that America's future is one of isolation.

Rise of Fascism:

It is with great concern that America watches the rise of the extreme right in Europe and Imperial Japan. While the regimes of Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo may be distasteful to freedom loving people such as ourselves it must be accepted for all have the acceptance of their people. America will remain vigilant of course but we feel that this is an issue best left to the UK and others. But rest assured our sphere of influence here in the Americas will be protected vigoursly.

Would be a shame is Gezeder had to miss out becuase of this. I am prepared to start again if thats what it takes, (made few minor errors which i can improve on hehe)

BB you sure talk some crap, you sohuld play Germany next or at lest let me hire your propaganda minister:p

In othere world news, Italy found ancient maps buried in rome, indicating that an island know as Sicily is of our southern boot. This is indeed good news as we can incorporate this land into our Empire.

Well after some private discussions with Gezeder we were able to sort out our differences. We both understand each others situation a lot better now and I know from my side a flare up like this will not happen again. I have a habit of shooting off at the mouth before my brain kicks in and I probably have memories of HOI 1 that haunt me:)

Anyways if we turn up at 7.00pm tonight we can decide on our plan of action....

Only one bit of advice I have to the group is we have limited rules and basically anything outside these rules is legitimate as long as it is not a known exploit. Best for people not to get upset and excited when others do things which dont fit in with your plans.
