So, after reading the article, I would bet the next DD is about supply system. Everything else they talked about has been already written about

Really looking forward to the new naval system. I want to play as Germany now, just to develop lots of subs, commerce raiders and aircraft and try to sink as many merchants as possible, and have it actually have an effect. Might invade Portugal, too, and use the Portugese coast and the Azores as forward u-boat bases to cover even more ocean.

Thumbs up to what is revealed in the article - sounds VERY nice, even reassuring

but I do hope they can make readily accessible (one way or another) the info players want to evaluate when they make a decision at that decision point and not make us back out or commute between different UI windows and menus to get the data needed.

They're not quoting Podcat there, it just seems to be a general statement without a source - it could just as well be taken directly from the website after the interview.

At any rate, you can safely assume that there will not be a Q2 release, not least because the timescale Johan gave us was that it would essentially be out in 5-6 months at least. We'll know more when they say more, but for the moment its best to assume that it will not be coming out in Q2.

Hmmm...you're right. They don't quote him. But i can't imagine, that they interviewed him without asking about the release date. If the release would't be in Q2, they would have written something like "release in Q3" or "release in a few months". But the info "Q2 on steam" seems pretty reliable to me in the article. AFAIK paradox always pulls a lot ressources together, when a game comes out. Furthermore the devs didn't say anything about a delay. Third point is, that the devs don't post a lot in the last time, which tells me, that they work really hard and under pressure to release the game. I just deeply hope you're not right about Q3. :)

Looks excellent, and I am excited.

Though I wonder what this 'air region' thing would mean for a WW1 mod for this game. In the Great War, airplanes didn't cover an area that large and their operations were limited to small areas around battlefields. Much like single-province bombardment in HoI3.

And Europa Universalis IV.
And all of the other (good) historical grand strategy games...

Agreed, although I'd much prefer they build the best WW2 game they can, rather than try and make it a jack of all trades. It may be possible to mod the size of strategic regions, in which case a WW1 mod could make the air regions much smaller. Will depend a bit on what else strategic regions do though.

You make the air regions in such a mod I suppose ...

Don't get too excited about the date as I think is is an older article just published. It talks about Political Power sometimes called Fuhrer Mana. I forget who first brought it up on the forum here but the term I have seen them use more recently is Political Capital which is a more correct term (one small sign the forum influences the development of the game).
