Achievements are usually one of the last things revealed before a release so it'll be a while until we get to know the new ones; but every update/DLC brings a new batch - at least I'm not aware of a single time where that wasn't the case - so don't worry about that :)

Almost certainly.

Personally, I just hope the number of "starting as..." achievements is kept to a minimum.

Yeah, I think the game lacks some more general achievements for big things like dismantling the papacy, forming the HRE, mending the schism, etc.

I like them it makes me play starts I'd otherwise ignore and they usually provide some challenge if you try to match the person's historical trajectory as closely as possible
i like them as well, with the exception being very specific characters. "starting as a iberian muslim" thats cool, cuz you can choose your own starting point and it allows you to get it during a campaign you actually wanted to do.

The tibetan Empire achievement was okey too, we had a dynasty (basically 2 ppl, well. 3 cuz there were different start dates too) and Blood eagle is cool since u can choose from quite a few characters

They always will until paradox enables achievements for all
Victoria 3 is also developed and published by Paradox, and they allow modded games to unlock achievements.

This means that you can bring your own events, UI improvements, and additional difficulty settings and still have the achievements as goals, if you're like me and get kinda bored of playing the same campaigns aimlessly.

The only thing that Vic3 doesn't allow is unlocking achievement in Observer Mode, after the game end date, or in Multiplayer. This last case should be patched, in my opinion.

Yes people have long wanted it, but theres no way paradox would enable it for t&t achievements but not regular

One potential achievement that I could thing of is win an illustrious artifact at a tournament.

Another could be touring your entire realm in one tour as an emperor of a big empire. Small ones like ones formed with the status quo ending of Iberian struggle wouldn’t count. Maybe the empire needs at least 80 counties.

It would be cool if we could get slightly better artifacts from tournaments or unique ones to tournaments. Would feel more satisfying than lucking out on an inspired character imo, another way to get a good one.

Agreed. I like to play historic counts or custom rulers. When I do the ones to play as so and so, I will usually play as so and so until I get the achievement and then proptly end that game.

I was just saying this to myself the other day. There are so many big investment decisions that in CK2 would have been achievements but aren't here. We need them as achievements. Example: my current game I am making another stab at restoring the Roman Empire and after having Corsica and Sardinia I saw an decision Secure the Mediterranean by having; Corsica, Sardinia, Mallorca, and Sicily. First thing I did was jump to the wiki to see if that was an achievement and then said to myself that it should have been one.

I don't know if pressing one big button specifically designed for that one thing can be considered as some great achievement. I'd rather have achievements where you also have to, you know, achieve something.

A version that could work is "Kill at least X Rivals in the same activity". So you need to make sure you have a certain amount of rivals, that they go to the Activity, and so on.

It was more of a joke, but there are easy achievements that you get just from playing the game. Such as getting married.
