I agree with Spirto on the alliance issue.

Its frustrating if you are a junior partner of an alliance and the leader makes white peace with someone you have a high warscore with.
You gets nothing but, WE, revolts, lower income, loss of manpower..., and as a bonus you may lose colonies that you easily could had taken back if the the war was prolonged.

If you are a leader you can extort money out of countries that juniors have beated without you lifting a finger(except the one on your mouse)

Does this beta patch change the static modifiers file, like the previous beta did?

I ask because I've made quite a few changes to the static modifiers file; and I don't want it to be overwritten.

Thanks in advance

Talking about ctd's i got a blue screen in winXP for the first time ever!
It was with MMP1.26 and 3.2 latest patch (no it wasn't the ledger). I was looking at the map.

The AI has a habit of sending 1k stacks to their death. Especially when you almost win a siege. Not sure that is more the case when its the capital you are sieging. Also this happens when low number < 5000 stacks enroute get blocked by a far larger stack and forget to consider the odds.

you should report it on the MMG sub-forum in the user modifications area of the forum as it is not a problem that paradox is responsible for.

Also MMG crashes with 3.2b so wait for the update. Should be along any day (if it is not already out)

I'm getting a CTD everytime I go to the CoT page of the ledger.

What can I do about this? Thanks in advance

If this is a bug, how can I uninstall this beta patch without uninstalling the October 31st beta?

I'm not getting that bug.... I happened to someone in the mp game I played last week... made us all crash... but that's about it.

are you trying to play a saved game from the first version of 3.2 beta?

how about deleting the file and downloading it again? That would mean downloading 3.1 again if you don't have a copy of it.... I looked for it earlier but couldn't find it anywhere....

ask in the technical support forum

yeah that's what happened to us on the multiplayer game..... It stopped I think.... I didn't use the ledger page after the first crash I don't know if it actually works but yeah it seems to crash on certain pages of the ledger...... I can't help you anymore than that... sorry!

I wonder if the save will work next time.... I could logically coz we saved it in the new patch so maybe when we run it again it will run normally....

good luck! If you get any support from anyone who knows or any moderators I'd appreciate it if you let me know!!

I was a bit disappointed to see that the ping-ponging problem was not fixed.... The fact that an army can retreat from a battle when it has 0 morale without suffering any losses is very annoying. I'm forced to let them siege a province for a month so that their morale goes up before I can attack them. Otherwise we just go back and forth between provinces without losing any men at all!

...

Also do the AI ships get attrition now? I still see them crossing the Atlantic and going straight to South America to explore whereas I need to go through Iceland-Greenland-Canada to discover America! Then I need to set up a colony so that I can discover South America. It seems pretty unfair.

what do you all think?

I love the patch by the way. It has improved the game SO much!

I don't see why, normally, an army in good order can't retreat the 1st 5 days, but a routing rabble can.

And I can see why the ai's ships might be exempt from loss by attrition, but (& I've said this before), I do not see why EUII's mechanism, where fleets returned to port automatically, if their attrition was too high, was dropped here. & IMO, AI fleets should do the same, even though they don't lose ships in the process.

once or twice yeah but they can't keep doing that for months. A well organised army is more likely to retreat faster that a broken one. Once or twice max would be ok. But it's this back and forth and waiting for their morale to go back up when the aim really is to lower it so much that you can defeat them!

It would be fine if they didn't go off on mass exploring missions! If they were at least limitted a bit to help the human player keep up with the exploration....

What I have also found VERY interesting is how the AI can keep such massive armies.... How can England support 30k men in 1402 when I'm barely surviving with 15k!! Also, when I switch to them (using the "tag ENG" cheat) I see that their income is -100+ yearly and they have like 34 ducats! How do they manage to survive the year?!

It's the same for France!
