Hello everyone, I'm sorry if this is a platinum thread or there is already a similar topic, but I wanted to hear the opinion of you guys about the state of the game for relative newbies.
As you know all DLCs were recently sold in Humble Bundle for only 20$, so I bet many players like me who were interested in the game got all of them. I played a little (failed Lithuania, North America tribe, and Japan's Damiyo attempts) and so far I love the game.

Now, the question is - what do you guys think about the current state of the game? Isn't it too bloated for new players or DLCs?
Was the game better some patches ago (Stellaris cough) or in general the more DLC you have, the better experience you get in EU4?
Do you think the game will receive more DLC in the future? Would you say EU4 shaped to be what it could be and it is "finished", or has it lost some potential greatness as Imperator 1.0?
Do you think EU5 is in development?

I'd love to hear some opinions. Thanks.

it's at the end of its life. they've told us that any new DLC's will not change the number of provinces and will mainly be about mission trees.

They would not have made a whole new team just for EU 4 DLC. EU 5 is in some state of development. Depends on what one would call development of course but they have ideas they can not do in EU 4 so they at least have ideas for eu 5.

Only my guess of course but i would say 2 big(ish) DLC might still come for EU 4 and that is it. That has nothing to do with the humble bundle sale. It is not the first sale of that kind.

Quality wise i was always happy enough with every version of the Game. It became a little Arcady with the "Press buttons for instant bonuses!" and personally i like the missions as often as i hate them at other times. Too powerful, too railroady. Both can be fun and unfun at the same time.
