Neville Chamberlain was not British prime minister in 1936

Dear Paradox,

I notice on last week's HoI IV stream that Neville Chamberlain is prime minister of the United Kingdom at the start of the 1936 scenario. Actually, Stanley Baldwin was PM until May 28th 1937. He is mentioned on the event text for the 'King Edward Abdicates' event which fired in December 1936, so I thought this was strange as I remember seeing Chamberlain's portrait as head of government.

As with the Leon Trotsky / Lev Sedov portrait mix-up, it may be an idea to go thru and double-check these things before release.

I posted more questions/points of interest here yesterday.

Well spotted Sleight of Hand . Those Democracies and their danged elections, eh? I'd be all for the Stanley Baldwin to be there at the start of the game (and for there to be some kind of sensible choice between Chamberlain and whoever the other major party was at the time, at the election, if it was feasible and made sense in the context of the game's systems).

Not an election, just Baldwin retiring after a very long career in politics. Otherwise, Clement Attlee was still Labor leader (and would be throughout the entire HOI4 period).

Same goes for France - Daladier didn't become PM until the 10th of April, 1938, the French leader should be Laval.

Which I think is a bit silly because IRL he only received 36,5% of the vote. Some really drastic things would've had to happen in order for Landon to even have a realistic chance.

Then again, the same can be said about a lot of things in HoI and PI games in general, and Landon winning has been in HoI probably since HoI1. I know it was in HoI2.

They should have Stanley Baldwin in for the first year and a half or however long it was down to the day, then have him retire, and put in Neville Chamberlain. They already have a couple of events about the King, why not put easy events in about the Prime Minister?
