Sixth German Campaign, drags on
There is a fascinating discussion going on the main AAR forum discussing cheating/modding in an AAR. Were this a story based AAR I think it would make a prime candidate to be modded to reflect the numerous wars the Austrians have lost. This however is not a story based AAR, but rather a game-play AAR so we will stick with whatever the game gives us, and so far what the game has given us in this war is not much.
Despite my overwhelming victories in this war, the AI refuses to give the Belgians a decent peace offering commensurate with the victories on the field, so the war drags on.
In Prussia, the Belgian armies have captured the capital of Berlin, and continue to press eastwards against minimal resistance.
In Austria the Belgians brought in additional reinforcements, and soon the Austrians are routed in the battle of Wien.
From here the war turns to Bohemia where a series of battles are fought again showing the superiority of cavalry even at this late stage of the game (although that superiority is quickly fading).
The Belgian cavalry is chasing the Austrian army across Bohemia and is able to continuously defeat the Austrians, capture the province, and then reengage the Austrian army in the next province before the enemy has time to recover.
First at Brno
Then at Olomouc
On to Breslau
And finally at Gleiwitz
In the end the Belgians have captured vast stretches of Germany, and yet still no peace…
