The Sixth German Campaign, part 3
Returning back to the war with Austria and Prussia, we find that Prussia is definitely on the defensive.
With Berlin fallen Prussia can’t call up her reserves meaning that she only has 5 divisions to face Belgium’s 25 cavalry divisions.
In north Austria we find more enemy troops, but still the Belgians have fought their way to the enemy capital, forcing the Austrians to again sue for peace.
Peace would be nice, but unfortunately it is still not enough. My goals are to take all of the Italian lands from Austria plus some good gains against Prussia (anything from Prussia, I’m not too particular at this point). So we continue on with the war, and by mid May the Prussians are all but defeated, and soon it will just be a matter of occupying enough lands to get a good peace deal.
In Austria meanwhile the Austrians have mounted a stronger defense of Wein than was originally expected.
At this point the strength of cavalry units is decreasing, and we are no longer able to win against a larger force of entrenched infantry. Additional troops will need to be called up from the south to help capture the Austrian capital.
