So, I just downloaded this mod. I like the vastly expanded ambition system for sure and there are a lot of other things to like. But I loaded up a game as Jorvik the other day, and noticed that the county conquest CB now has a cooldown. Okay, I can deal with that. That makes sense. But then I tried playing as the Magyars and I noticed two things: the requirements to form Hungary are stricter (which makes sense) and there appears to be no invasion CB for Tengri pagans anymore (which doesn't).

So, is that correct? Or does the invasion CB have certain requirements? I just feel like much of what made pagans...pagans, got taken out. I also don't know why the invading Magyars who threatened Europe are now restricted to attacking their neighbors once every five years or so for a single county. Is this the same for the Mongols too?

If I remember correctly, we limited the Tengri because the AI was DOMINATING in every single game. We can take a look at re-balancing them again, but I don't know how much would actually change.

AI was DOMINATING in every single game.

And players... it was the quintessential I win button, especially in the case of the Magyar with their free event troops.

Mongols don't have the restriction though, at least for AI

It is possible to get rid of the free Magyar event troops, however, should they win their initial victory. Get rid of the event troops, refill the levies ("soldiers settle down in their new homes"), and send them on their way.

Either that or (or perhaps in addition to) get rid of the timer on the single county conquest. That does seem a little restrictive, when combined with the lack of pagan subjugation.

I can understand the loss of subjugation, but can we please lose the conquest cooldown? Pagans are supposed to be about fast, brutal conquests with a lack of real stability. As it stands now, it seems like they have all the downsides and none of the upsides of vanilla pagans, at least not until you reform and get holy wars.

I'm currently planning on removing the cooldown unless you lose or white peace a county conquest.

I will, however, more than likely also be making Hungary lose its event troops after the initial war in the Old Gods bookmark.
