I'm not knowledgable about adding events, but I have an idea. During the early part of the Eighty Years' War, the Netherlands, seeking aid from France and England, offered both the monarchy. Now, shouldn't this be made into an event?
If accepted it would make the Netherlands become vassalized, and cost England or France some money, giving the Netherlands more troops to aid in the war. Spain would gain a Casus Belli on the accepting nation, and there would be a relations hit between Spain and the accepting nation. However, relations between the Netherlands and the accepter would increase.
Of course, the top choice would be to refuse, which would probably just cause a relations hit with the Netherlands, and a relations increase with Spain.
What do you think?
