Having just read this http://www.reddit.com/r/explainlikeIAmA/comments/2bb1xj/explain_macbeth_like_iama_hardcore_crusader_kings/, I'm wondering if it's possible to have successful assassinations trigger an event or event chain (possibly for all characters without cruel, deceitful, or cynical traits, and with kind, honest, and zealous increasing the probability) that leads to characters becoming wracked with guilt and having to choose between options that give them chances of receiving traits like depressed, stressed, drunkard, paranoid, decadent, etc.
I certainly murder a lot of people in my games with very few repercussions.
