I mean, I don't think anyone is saying the game needs this, just that it would add more fun :)

As to whether the extra penalty would have an inherently "un-fun" effect on racial transformations, I think like this:

1. They were already suffering the penalty before the transformation, so it certainly doesn't make anything worse
2. Again, more options means more strategic choices. Do I want to have a minor weakness to fire, and then make it even worse through a frostling transformation? Or do I want to have a slight poison weakness instead? Or do I not want to have any weakness at all, which is always a choice if someone doesn't want the negative traits ;)

Would be similar to decision making when playing Necromancer in AoW III.
Do I go Draconians to counter my fire weakness? Or do I go Frostling and become immune to Frost damage?

Or Warlord: Do I take the melee capabilities of orcs to the max or do I take another race and make use of their elemental capabilities?

I have been thinking.

It seems like there should be a negative form trait.

Races are often just as defined by what they are not as by what they are.

Like dwarfs are sturdy, but slow. Goblins are many, but die easy. Halfling are great at shooting and terrible in close combat.

So basically flaws, you take one and get an extra regular trait to make up for it. I like it.
