One of the things I find frustrating with stellaris is a lot of the time the UI is fairly janky.

One of the UI improvement I would suggest is that on the outline, that core planets be organized by the solar system they inhabit, not by colonization order. Planets that are colonized in the same solar system are frequently apart from eachother in the outline which makes it much more confusing than need be.

The split fleet is far too frustrating to use. In large fleet of over 100 ships especially. For one thing when you select a ship to a new fleet the list auto scrolls to the beginning of the list. I would suggest making the system for splitting ships to be more like euiv splitting troops as a partial improvement.

Finally, The planet and sectors tab needs to be completely redesigned. It is way too finicky to use currently. Perhaps the tab could be split into a core planets tab and a sectors tab. I'll admit I'm a bit at a loss on ideas on how it could be improved.

Those are my current UI suggestions. What do more fellow forum goers think? Do you think my suggestions are needed? What suggestions for UI improvements do you have?

Lots of small improvements would improve quality-of-life so much. For example, when building farms, it'd be really helpful if food balance was shown in the surface tiles view as well as in the planet summary view. Having to switch back and forth between the two is kinda irritating.

The outliner and fleet selection screen should be capable of dragging and dropping. It would make organizing entirely customizable and much faster. And, on a side note, the same goes for the HoI4 production screen.

I'm by no means an expert at the game, but I've been playing since launch and I finally created an account to say something similar.

The thing that bugs me the most is the fact that the Surface Tab and the Planet Summary Tab aren't combined. It would be, and should be, extremely easy to combine the two tabs into one. Take all that extra and unused space at the top of the Surface tab and put the Planet Summary information there. You can fit everything from the Summary tab there. I really don't care what my city looks like. It just isn't that big of a deal to me. Take that space and put in the pertinent information I need to manage my surface effectively.

I can draw you a picture if you like. I'm not much of an artist, but I think you'd get the idea.

Another feature that would be nice is an arrow button that would essentially "tab" from one planet to the next. I know you can just click on the planet at the top right outliner, but if I am upgrading all of the buildings after a powerplant upgrade, I would like to just tab from one planet to the next without having to actually go and select that specific planet.
Put it so you don't have to move the mouse all the way across the screen to do so.

Aside from a few 'janky' UI issues, I do enjoy the game and everything you've done recently. It finally feels like the game has some meat on it's bones.
