Okay, apparently I do not fully understand the mechanics involved in who can be on my council.
I am playing the Sunni Caliphate. I have a dude with Martial 23. Obviously, I want him as my Marshal, so I appoint him.
Later, my son comes of age and starts pestering me for a fiefdom. So I grant him a county.
And my Marshal with Martial 23 goes *poof* out of my council. Apparently because he was the baron of a city in the county, and now that my son is the ruler of that county, the Marshal is his direct vassal, not mine.
First off: I'm the freakin' Caliph and I'm in charge. I should be able to say "You're still my Marshal, homecheese."
Secondly: Since that doesn't work, what are my options here?
