Hi,
I need some guidance on whether what I'm trying to do should work or not and perhaps the forum members or Paradox Team could assist.
I lastly played with Materialist/Collectivist in 2016 when the game was launched poking around empire builds and thought I could remember being able to enslave robots/droids/synthetic's.
With the recent launch of Utopia and reviewing the challenges, balances and new features I opted to try out a Authoritarian/Materialist ethos with the Mechanists and Slaver Guilds along with Decadent as one of the traits.
My thought behind the empire build was to maximize food and miniral output with 10% bonus to research speed from Fanatic Materialist ethos. Utilizing the 10% bonus from Robots +10% from Slaver Guilds + 10% from enslaving the Robots.
My ultimate goal was to choose the Synthetic Ascension in addition to allowing the enslavement of my own species as well as my robots/droids/synts.
After some testing and tinkering around I found from the start of my first attempt that I was unable to enslave the starting Robots(Mechanists). I could however enslave my own species.
In addition I found the species rights tab to be inaccessible for Robots. My own species was fine no issues there. I also checked whether any policies might be an issue thought could not see any since by default this should not be an issue in any case.
Onwards I continued to upgrade to Droids... same issue no enslavement and no right's access.
Ascended to Cyborgs(The Flesh is Weak), still no issues with my own species, all good with enslavement and species rights.
Upgraded from Droids to Synts, still no enslavement allowed and no rights. Provided them with rights via policy due to tech and granted citizenship. Still no rights for Synts, the species rights tab remains unaccessible form POP interface and the species tab.
Moved on to the final accession converting my own species to Synthetic. Once this was completed lost all enslavement settings of my own species the now superior version of my race in addition to losing access to the species rights tab for them.
Now I'm not sure whether this is a bug or whether this was never intended to work in the way I was attempting to build my empire.
I mean the 20% bonus from Synts is awesome, the additional 10% from ensalving would be sweet, and the additional 10% from Slaver Guilds made me super happy... not to mention the 10% from Slave Processing Facility and 5% from Slave Processing Facility, +5% from Extraction Patterns and +5% from Stimulant Diet.
Whopping total of 65%.
Any one else running into the same complication as I have and know whether this should work, perhaps the rules to enslaving Robots/Droids/Synts where changes in a previous patch?
To Paradox,
Guy's thanks for the awesome game and the hard work you guy's put in, I'm enjoying every memorable moment of it.
Oh and please could we get access to sector resource stockpiles... pretty please... this could really make the game so much more flexible in terms of resources management.
Thanks Guy's and Girl's, thats all for now.
