I was playing Mod34 yesterday, and much to my frustration the USA and Netherlands (!) invaded Japan without any resistance at all, because I (NatChi) kept the japanese army busy in northern China...

So I want to create an event that helps Japan resist an invasion of the home islands... I was thinking of adding 1-2 infantry divisions in each of their coastal provinces, but I want those divisions to be immobile, like the US division (I think) that starts in Philippines. So I wonder, is there any event command that makes units immobile? Another option would be to simply place garrison divisions, but I worry the AI will move them, and get rolled over anyway.

use garrison units they are immoble

Can still be redeployed... I solved it anyway, I modified the map to create impassable connections between various provinces, thus allowing deploying directly to islands and such, and then I created an event that gave Japan a couple divisions... I deployed them, and then modified the save game to make them immobile. Worked well, but was a bit annoying ;)
Anyway they're actually putting up a fight against the US this time, instead of having their home islands taken without doing anything to prevent it.
