I donwloaded a mod from a a site run by someone named "Unknown" to change the resolution to 1600x1200. I admit that I'm not very knowledgable when it comes to modifiying files and doing things others would consider to be very basic and simple.
Does anyone know the file Im talking about and would someone help me understand the readme file that tells me how to acomplish what I'm trying to do? Here is the pertinent portion of the readme:
3. Usage
1) You have to prepare load_user.bmp which size must be the same with the
resolution of your choice. You must put the bitmap file to
(\installation)\gfx directory.
2) Put GResChanger.exe in any directory you like.
3) Back up the exe file to be patched with name other than ****.old.
4) Open command prompt and execute GResChanger. You must specify filename,
width, and height.
Usage:
GResChanger <filename> <new width> <new height>
<new width> must be between 800 and 65535
<new height> must be between 600 and 65535
eg. D:\tools\GResChanger C:\Paradox\VIC\Victoria.exe 1280 768

I've tried and tried to make it work but am obviously doing something wrong. I wish I was more computer savy and hope to get there someday. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
