Need help converting ironman game into non-ironman or converting save to vic2

As above, I am trying to continue a eu4 game in vic2, but the converter wont accept ironman games, how do i convert an ironman save to non-iron man? alternatively, is there a converter that accepts ironman saves?

i think that doesnt work as iron man savefiles are encoded. not sure if theres a converter for that

Hm, you could try to make a copy of the original save into the regular game folder, load it and save a new game based on that. Perhaps that way you could get around the ironman problem?
