Multiplatform needs to be there for train stations too. My cargo stations are always overwhelmed with freight trains

I agree with this. Multi platform would be awesome. I think we're probably getting into old school transport tycoon territory which might be a little too far.

A cross station would have to be multi platform with each line being at different levels wouldn't it?

No, it would have 2 or more separate platforms next to eachother on the same level. Atleast thats what i meant with multiplatforms.

I wouldn't have thought you'd have 2 metro lines actually coming into contact. I would've thought they'd be at different subterranean levels so the lines didn't physically go over each other.

I agree with multiplatforms alongside each other for different lines. That happens all the time.

Happens all the time but not yet possible...

In the end it depends on the directions the lines are going. If they cross each other, you need elevated crosses.
You pretty much need both at a centralized station where 10 metro lines come together. And only 2 floors would not suffice, i think.

Another great thing would be different height levels also underground.
I have a few crossings in my metro tunnels which cause trains to block each other occasionally.
In my home city we also have several lines crossing, but in seperate tunnels on different heights, and we have stations connecting multiple lines over multiple levels.

I also find it difficult sometimes to place a metro station correctly.
The problem is that the exit must be placed along the axis of a road, while the tunnel often comes from a different angle.
Ideally, the the orientation of the exit does not depend the orientation of the street but rather on the orientation of the tunnel.
