I've highlighted the important questions with --> and <--.

It seems we can purchase the game either through Steam or Paradox.

It also seems that if we go through Paradox, that there is a 10% discount bonus for a future purchase of any Paradox game.

--> Is that bonus also open/available for a future purchase/upgrade of BattleTech? <--

--> Is there a similar bonus if we purchase through Steam? <--

--> What are the differences between the two sites for Avatars? Or, is it, that each site will have different Avatars for their forums, but not the game itself? <--

Will the game have its own Avatars?

--> The ShadowHawk special edition "skin," will it be the same if purchased from either site? I would guess, yes. <--

-->On the e-novela, I would guess that it is offered through both sites, yes? <--

--> Which site/system runs fastest for the game? <---

These are small questions that some players may need answered in order to make the best decision for their particular situation.

Thank you.

-->Is that bonus also open/available for a future purchase/upgrade of BattleTech? <--
Its for anything on the Paradox store, though it generally has a timeframe in which it can be used

--> Is there a similar bonus if we purchase through Steam? <--

Steam only has coupons for specific games. It has no way, that I know of, ot provide a blanket 10% off coupon to anything in the store.

--> What are the differences between the two sites for Avatars? Or, is it, that each site will have different Avatars for their forums, but not the game itself? <--

Paradox has a set list of Avatars that users can choose from. Steam lets you basically just upload anything you want.

Note that if you link your Paradox account with your Steam one, all your games get read in and ported over. so I think you'd get any avatars eventaully as long as you linked the accounts. You'll notice on your profile you have a tiny "Stellaris" icon on your profile showing you own Stellaris. It'd be teh same with Battletech

--> The ShadowHawk special edition "skin," will it be the same if purchased from either site? I would guess, yes. <--

Pretty much yes

-->On the e-novela, I would guess that it is offered through both sites, yes? <--

The e-novellas aren't part of any pre-order content so I'm not srue what you're referring to here? the deluxe edition has the soundtrack and artbook and wallpapers.

--> Which site/system runs fastest for the game? <---

That's not really a relevant question as no matter where you buy it you're getting a Steam key.

The e-novella was a kickstarter reward for backers. If you backed the game through the kickstarter, you should be able to get them through your backerkit.

There are also a couple of sites out there that give you a flat 20% discount for pre-ordering the game.
WinGameStore and Fanatical for example.

I think both are legit key re sellers and not part of the grey market.
